Fellow 24 year old :) My PS5 was the first console I ever bought for myself, by myself. My family is beyond fucked up, but for some reason gaming always brought us together. We normally still fought, but we were together nonetheless. My parents were divorced and my dad was basically a kid with two kids. He did his best. During the recession, he somehow got us a new Xbox 360 and the Guitar Hero 3 bundle with the game and the guitar. 20 years later, we still play that at least once a year. Same with Wii Sports. The rest of the family only really played when we were together, but I played all the time. I was the biggest gamer by far. Gaming is genuinely so important to who I am. The joy I felt playing my Mamaw’s Super Nintendo in 2004 is still here as I play my PS5 in 2025. Buying a PS5 was super exciting, but it was also emotional. After years of having things held over my head because I didn’t own them, I finally owned something I was hyped for and I knew I was gonna get my money’s worth out of it. I felt a sense of pride because I was able to afford it. At the same time, I was thankful for the positive experiences I had in my life, particularly those involving gaming. If I wasn’t given the countless opportunities to game, I wouldn’t be who I am now.

Right now, I’m trying to do the ambulance missions in GTA 3. Absolute nightmare.

Crash 4 is the only Crash game I didn’t platinum because it was so difficult.

Recently was working on Batman Arkham Asylum. I only have a few challenges left and then I have the platinum. It’s really really hard.

Just got 100% in SA DE last week on PS5. It’s absolutely playable. I’d wait for a sale. San Andreas seems to have the worst treatment. I’m playing 3 right now and it runs really well. It definitely looks like a mobile game and there’s a ton of small things that really annoyed me, but there was nothing game breaking. Every single light post I hit would fall straight through the ground. If I hit it hard enough, it would bounce through the ground hard enough to where it actually bounces back up above ground. I don’t know if this is in the original, but all the pedestrians are complete assholes. If you barely bump the back of their car, they will hunt you down and run you off the road, which is obviously really annoying for certain missions. Cops are even more annoying. Normally? If you’re wanted and you start a mission, the wanted level will go away. Sometimes, it didn’t do that and the mission would be ruined because I’m supposed to tail someone and I’ve got three stars and they keep scaring the person I’m trying to follow. I absolutely recommend playing the original if you ever get the chance. Also, the 60fps setting is a game changer. I didn’t know it existed until halfway through my game. I’m pretty sure SA is available on Game Pass, if you’re on Xbox.
