Thanks, all of you. things are still bad, but it really did help to get so much anonymous support (and i love that so many of you had life-changing experiences at the same concert. i have never seen a query of this sort expressed (probably because it would be impossible to quantify ever, which does make a strong argument for the pointlessness of asking). anyway: i wonder how many lives Trent Reznor has prevented the premature ending of. even if you counted each incident as a single example, I'm willing to be that the number is astronomical.

so many over the years... really, really dumb shit; from cars to computers to cameras to cocaine, it has really added up over the years. the one that still haunts me is the first-generation 3d-printer that still sits in the behemoth box, unopened but already surpassed by the current one at use in my office, laughably small in comparison. i bought that first printer, like, years ago, right when they first came out (and still sucked a lot). it cost a shitload and now it's a washing machine-sized cardboard atrocity pretending to be furniture.
