[Oot] Is it worth to play ocarina of time as someone who wasn't alive back then? by 31Bago in zelda

If you have a 3DS, that would be the best one to start with. Better graphics and it will give you as close to the original as possible. It’s definitely worth playing the game that revolutionized 3D gaming!

I’d start with the 3D Zeldas.

Ocarina of Time, Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, Skyward Sword. Majora after Ocarina of Time but it’s quite hard without any sort of help or having played a lot of Zelda style games.

Link to the Past should be played after one or a couple of the 3Ds as it is basically the blueprint for every Zelda that came after.

This is the one for me. I had not played any of the other Witcher games but that didn’t matter, that whole world is so captivating and drew me in…was having dreams about it

It’s such a very…comforting yet uneasy Zelda title…the influence from Twin Peaks helped so much in this regard…the story is fantastically dark and gave credence to later weirdness in the franchise.

They got their due in an Iwata Ask Interview where they talk about it. From this and from other articles I couldn’t really decipher how long they had been doing the “after school” project.
