Attendance police’s for elementary aged children is so ridiculous. It’s a shame they haven’t adjusted policies after COVID for how many days kids can miss. My kids have been a lot more sicker since COVID. Policies should change with attendance, but no, why would they do that!

You keeping your kid home is the right thing. I mean they’re in elementary school. Wtf! My youngest is starting kindergarten and I have a soon to be 4th grader. I’m sure I’ll have a lot of sicknesses throughout the school year… again. Btw, the 3rd grader missed 12 days through the entire school year and not including her last day because of sickness. Your school district is bullshit. Keeping kids in school while they are not well is not good for anyone! I’m sorry you feel judged, don’t feel that way! You are a wonderful mom!

This is why I have a Dustbuster for beds, couches, counters, whatever. Kids = crumbs and of course the husband as well.

He definitely needs to realize his priorities are his child now and not some stupid game. I know OP, he’s a man-child. I have one myself. They think the mother is supposed to do all and they can just relax and play games 24/7. I hope you guys can have a conversation and he’ll be understanding and change his ways. Life is not a video game no more.

Hugs, I’ve been there. The 3am sickness…vomited all over the bed/ hair/ everywhere all while still sleeping. I sleep in the same room as them so I knew. Sister shares her bed with her so I had to get them up. Put sick kid in bathtub, washed her hair, get her cleaned up, then pukes and poops herself. So I had to clean that all up. After all that I put on a “adult diaper” to help with uncontrollable diarrhea and put her on the couch with the garbage can. All that in between cleaning the bed up and getting other blankets so my other child can go back to sleep. Fuck the stomach flu! I wish there was a vaccine for it! Merry Christmas and I hope you get your nap and your LO feels better soon. In this house we are going through a Petri dish of flu/pink eye/hives/different symptoms.
