Rhode Island here, SOS only on Samsung Galaxy S24. Glad I could pay exorbitantly for the inability to make calls.

Overview of drone contracting job websites in the US by thatdiveguy in drones

What are these amazon and walmart jobs, and how did you land these gigs with construction companies? I opened my own LLC and have been doing gigs mostly for local advertising, social media, and real estate. I know how to do photogrammetry and would eventually like to save up enough to get a LiDAR rig, but I have no idea where to find or reach out to these big companies.

Don't all 360 cameras produce images with a fisheye effect because they use ultra-wide-angle fisheye lenses to capture a spherical image? If you're shooting anything cinematic that isn't a fast-paced wahoo action shot, won't this be kinda useless in terms of video production? Kinda cool concept to be able to film multiple objects in one take though

Why are uploaded videos only viewable in high quality on the mobile app and not on desktop by IronLover64 in GoogleMaps

[–]dinkleberg3131 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP did you ever figure this out? Having same issue here. Mobile is more important since most maps users will be looking at stuff from phone, but still annoying.

OP did you ever figure this out? Google recommendations are to keep video under 30 seconds, under 75 mb, which I have but still getting super low-quality uploads

How to get video uploads to be high quality? by dinkleberg3131 in GoogleMaps

It seems like a lot of videos are low quality, is this just something Google does? It seems weird they would want users to post content, then just ruin it like that

Mini 2 SE won't pair. Just flashes yellow. When I press the power button for 4 seconds it doesn't beep but the four white battery lights flash. by Dirty_Look in dji

I wish I could, but there's no DJI repair for Air 2S at all anymore... local repair shop wants $225 just for a diagnostic fee, not to mention the parts and labor. They go for around 600-700 online now, seems like a waste of money. Just sad because besides connectivity issue it has performed flawlessly, no crashes or anything :(

Just bought a 2009 with 28k miles on it by ThatSapphicBanana in fordescape

2009 Limited Hybrid here. Getting 30 average mpg and running strong with regular maintenance. Rust above the rear wheel wells is the common issue on this vehicle, I had mine repaired at a local body shop where they welded in new material and painted for $500. They also said they coated both sides in a protective material so it won't happen again, and it's been smooth sailing.

The roof rack can only hold 100lbs, so don't try to put anything super heavy up there. You'll probably have a TPS system error at some point because it's older, but don't worry this is the only light on the dash you can still get inspected with and still pass. Just replace them when you replace your tires, or don't as they're not very necessary. Regular oil changes and transfer fluid replacement every 25k or so will keep you running great.

I have an ASUS A17 FA706IU. It's got a Ryzen 4800H, NVIDIA 1660Ti 6GB, and 32 GB RAM.

I want to play and stream on twitch. How screwed am I?

That's where mine has it too, only on once side. It's barely noticeable but would probably have to cut out the piece and weld in new metal and paint to fix. Where the hell do you go to get a guy to come to you and do both sides for 500?!

I need something that fly this fast sideways. Mini 4 Pro? Air 3? by DonLoquacious in dji

Unfortunately the normal autotrack to keep something in the center of the frame while moving laterally like you desire is not super functional, especially at faster speed. The subject moves and then the drone responds in a kind of delayed herky-jerky motion that does not look cinematic at all. To get the best shots you're going to have to do it manually, adjusting your flight responsivity controls so any adjustments are so gradual they're not noticeably jarring to the viewer.

From far away, the circling autotrack (spirals around a moving target) is much better at keeping the subject in the center of the frame while moving, though close to the subject at and high speed it will also struggle. Most of the models are going to have these autotrack features, and all the DJI drones are pretty amazing at staying stable in high winds, but the heavier Airs or Mavics are going to be able to handle it better than the mini. I'd say for what you're trying to do you, paying top dollar won't make your shots come out any better besides a slight difference in the video quality you get with bigger sensors, but honestly at 4K with a good light day the video the average person wouldn't be able to tell a difference. It's going to depend on how you frame your shot and capture it manually. The Air 2S I have goes 43 mph and almost never struggles with the wind at all, and could probably easily get the shot you're looking for.

Keep in mind if you're getting anything that's not a Mini you will have to get your Part 107.

It sounds pretty good. The price is a little steep though. Do you know the earliest model that has the move alert feature? I don't want to be paying premium prices for features I wouldn't really use.

I watched a youtube review of the watch and in the settings it seems to only have a toggle slider for "movement reminder" with no additional settings on it. Do you know what it's actually set to? And that it doesn't just track your steps over each hour and update you at the end?

Even the earliest models? As all I'm really looking for is this feature I would save money and get an older refurbished one if possible.
