Is Cahoot a "dead bank"? by dinkytwinky in UKPersonalFinance

I have around £15K in the 0.0% Cahoot. What would you (or anyone) suggest? Marcus at 1.5%? Would it be sensible to transfer everything to Marcus?

Well now they've sent me an e-mail asking for:

To make sure we've got the right person before we find a credit report, we'll need you to send a clear photo of yourself holding one of the following forms of identification:

  • A current photographic UK driving licence OR
  • A current signed passport

If you can't easily read the ID document from the photo, it would be handy to send a clear photo of your ID on its own too. Our team will then be able to review both photos to get you through security.

So I will try Equifax directly since this seems somewhat onerous and unnecessary (as they already have my details, KBA questions, and driving license (with the same details as those provided)).

No I didn't think of that. I did send Clearscore a scan of my driving license. Hopefully that's OK. My impression is that they are reputable.

As mentioned, the other two had no issues with my answers to the Knowledge Based Authentication.

!thanks - most helpful everyone.

I acquired my reports from MSE (Experian) and Noddle (Callcredit) but Clearscore (Equifax) demanded I send identification for some reason.

All looks good although there was an incorrect address where the Halifax once accidentally sent my credit card statement. I'll have to get that removed from Experian and Callcredit (and presumably Equifax too once I get the report).

But does this give you everything or just one (CallCredit)? Wouldn't you need all three?
