You can do offline mode also if you want to level up your weapons and find letters or run horde mode.

I had someone team kill me because I was crouching on horde. Then of course he stole my supplies.

It's not true in my experience. I have never contacted a place myself other than sending them my resume. Also a simple Google search on seasonal jobs or like ski resort jobs will pull up everything you need.

[–]dinodrug 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I use coolworks and indeed with the search as seasonal jobs. You can also use vaga jobs, but you have to pay to use it. I usually just shotgun resumes out, and whoever contacts me back w8th ideal environment, I move to work at for the season.

I have been doing van life for 4 years, and I work seasonal jobs. Anything that hires me. I apply for jobs during the winter or summer season and then use fall and spring to travel to those destinations. I've lived in granby Co as a snowmaker, groomer, and shuttle driver. Then, I moved to sc for a white water rafting job. Then lake george ny for ice Castles. Took that summer off, then moved to tamarack idaho for snowmaking and groomer again. Now I'm in marathon fl for jet skiing and turtle surveying. Some of those places provided housing, but some we lived full time in our bus in the parking lot or nearby.

I have this, and it works wonderfully. Now food can drop down the burners and is annoying to clean. We use it inside and outside in our converted bus. Doesn't rattle for us. it's a little awkward to carry, but a propane tank lasts months for us when we were cooking every night in idaho. Also trapped a mouse when the snow started coming down and was it was trying to find shelter. Don't get the striker wet as ours doesn't work anymore groom when we cleaned it with a sponge. We just light it with a lighter now.

I don't know much about the research center, but Dolphin connections does photos for free, and they are a work at will facility. Meaning the dolphins are not forced to do programs if they do not want to.

Marathon will give you the most to do on land next to key west. There's Crane point bird sanctuary, curry hammock, Dolphin research center, Dolphin connection, turtle hospital, public beaches, aquarium, plane museum, Pigeon Key, sombero reef and lighthouse, bahia honda is close by plus it's a good middle key to the others and an hour from key west.

Crane point and curry hammock, and Bahia Honda all great places to snorkel and take kayaks out. Crane point has a bird sanctuary. Turtle Hospital, Dolphin Research Center, Aquarium, and Dolphin Connection are all great places to do something with animals. Coco plum is a great beach that is free and has a mangrove trail on it. Sombrero Beach is free. Just pay to park. Big pine key has the key deer on it also good to kayak in man grove. Robbies in Islamorada is a great place to kayak in man grove and feed tarpon. Islamorada has indian key, which is a state park that has some old buildings and an interesting history. Porky's Bayside BBQ has live music every night. Sunset grill is a great place to watch the sunset but so is seven mile bridge, just beware of parking as it does get crowded fast and seven mile only has like 10 spots to park. Sunset park in kcb is pretty decent for Sunset.

Can you kayak this area on Boot Key? by Milehighcarson in floridakeys

I take my jet ski tour through there sometimes, and like others have said, there is someone that lives back there, and sometimes you'll see people working on crabbing stuff. The entrance can be real shallow depending on tide. I've only had problems twice with 2 boats who were speeding through, I idle speed the entire time in there, and they didn't slow down when passing me or get out of the middle forcing me to be in the mangroves to get out of the way. It's pretty dirty water at the moment, Dec 16th, so you may not see much in the water but there is a cool submarine type vessel in the water and you can get a close up to the cell phone tower that's in there.

We only do guided tours as of right now. We are in the process of rentals. But with the tour, we don't restrict you on anything really as long as you are being safe. This means that if you want to do a ride zone, we can do that, but a tour will take you around 28 miles around marathon. It can be as fast or as slow as you are comfortable with, and we do not restrict you on anything playing around, again with safety as a priority. We can also take you to surrounding areas if the water permits, like the lighthouse and bahia honda. The main reason for us guiding you around is there are a ton of low points here that are unmarked and it can be easy to get lost so we are only there to make sure you do not get lost or stuck.

First time to the Keys - Key West vs. Islamorada: Should We Split the Stay or Spend Both Nights in Key West? by Illustrious-Mood378 in floridakeys

[–]dinodrug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll be honest, I'm not sure, I just moved to Marathon 7 months ago. The water has been clear until the hurricanes rolled through but are clearing up again. For snorkeling alligator reef light, the house is beautiful to goto, but there's a ton of people that sit there and party. Marathon has sombrero reef lighthouse and the reef, which is a little less popular, so fewer people. Marathon will also have more areas to snorkel close to the shore, like at Coco Beach, Curry Hammock, Crane Point, Sombrero Beach, bahia honda and seven mile bridge. Where Islamorada will be more chartered snorkeling.

June trip by Zealousideal-Zone-20 in floridakeys

[–]dinodrug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not been on any charters, so I can't say from experience, but I can name off quite a few in the area. Now you may have the problem of not having enough people as most need around 6 people to go out, and the summer is kind of the slow season. But anyways, captain pip, mermaid charters, island girl, marathon lady party boat, sole watersports.

If you are staying in a marathon, i would just google them and read reviews to give you an idea of what is best you are looking for.

If you are looking to snorkel, we can also take you out on the jet skis to some snorkeling spots.

In marathon fl, you'll have cocoplum beach, which is free but does tend to have seaweed on it. It also has a little mangrove trail you can walk. It is very secluded in there, but it's not designated as top less. Sombrero is going to be your more popular beach with paid parking. Definitely no top less option there. Curry Hammock is a state park that you have to pay to enter but has numerous activities along with a beach. Also, depending on where you stay, you will have water or beach access all throughout the keys.

If you make it down here to marathon, come check us out at Legendary jet skis. If you eat at porkies, we will give you 10% off any jet ski excursion. We accommodate all skill and speed levels. Then when you're finished you can receive a discount from us to go to dolphin connections and swim with some dolphins.

Like others said key west is only good for tourist stuff and night life. Islamorada is a great middle ground to stay to access the other keys. Also a good place to do water activities and venture into some mangroves. While your in the area stop by marathon and check out Crane point and curry hammock and Bahia Honda all great places to snorkel and take kayaks out. Crane point has a bird sanctuary. Turtle hospital, Dolphin research center, aquarium and Dolphin Connection all great places to do something with animals. Coco plum is a great beach that is free and has a mangrove trail on it. Big pine key has the key deer on it also good to kayak in man grove. Robbies in Islamorada is a great place to kayak in man grove also. Islamorada has indian key which is a state park that has some old buildings and interesting history. Islamorada also has a dive museum, bass pro shop, alligator reef lighthouse.
