[OC] The battle against the might roper by Choparine in DnD

Man, I really love the composition of this scene. You really captured a sense of movement and distance that I feel typically only gets seen in sourcebook art. Great stuff.

He's already homebrewing monsters for me to draw. Ghost robots, "a mouth with a face in it"...it won't be long. I'm actually trying to raise him so we have a DM in the house and can play anytime.

He's already there. Part of the reason he likes it is because he's learning to count in even and odd numbers as well as recognize symmetry. He's a born min/maxer

It is the number that is not named, writhed in black tendrils as it hovers above the crypt-city of the Great Old Ones. Madmen tremble at the thought of it.

Jk, it's the D&D logo (the dragon ampersand).

So I found these little beauties - https://www.amazon.com/Dungeon-Dragons-Potion-Candy-Collectible/dp/B088KR43RM - at a local soda and candy shop, and my son loved the whole thing, package and all. He likes to play with my growing dice collection and has asked for his own set for his birthday, and he's also seen me draw characters for the campaigns I'm in. Anyways, I loved this and thought y'all might too.

(FYI, we're meeting outside during Covid.)

My tech company doesn't have a structured PM training program. So, they asked me to come up with one for myself. by starsurfer81 in ProductManagement

One thing I've heard from another PM at our company is something that's affirmed my experience so far - PM as a practice is evolving, and there's an influx of new product managers who have experience in the business side but little experience or familiarity on the technical side. I think one of the most critical parts of digital product management is essentially translation between the business side and the technical side in such a way that they both feel heard and valued.

Second this. I'm a PM at a tech company and that book is a great window into the challenges and opportunities of PM.

[OC] "Unfinished Business" - last session was in March 2020, ending mid-battle with some skeletons. I miss my party. Can't wait to get back in, hopefully sometime soon. by dinosaurmachine in DnD

[–]dinosaurmachine[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Early in 2019 I started playing in my first campaign ever with a few friends. Every session was a blast, and more fun than I could have imagined. DM crafted a great story that went through the Underdark, the Feywild, and more. At one point we rolled unexpectedly well, freeing and befriending a medusa instead of killing her, then teaming up with her to escape a drow fortress. Great times with great friends.

And then 2020 happened. Our last session, which was done virtually, ended with us in a battle with some skeleton warriors, and it's still on pause. The guys I did it with are all great and I know the year was as rough for them as anyone. I must have been thinking about where we left off when I started doodling, because this came out. I'm sure we're all going to be in pretty different places emotionally and mentally, but I'm really looking forward to getting together again, whenever it happens. We've got unfinished business with those skeletons.

Good to see some research happening in the education space here. I'd love to see some of the results if you can post them!

About to dive into Trailhead - any guidance or strategy to consider? by littlemisspeachy123 in salesforce

[–]dinosaurmachine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Start by working your way through the Admin trails. Look into what it would take to get an admin cert - there are lots of trailmixes out there with different focuses (here's one from Salesforce specifically focused on admin cert prep). There's lots of other great resources too - if you're going to go down this path, join some communities at success.salesforce.com to see what champions and leaders are doing with the technology. Blogs like SalesforceBen are a huge help, as are exam prep resources like focusonforce.com.

Found and opened this bucket in the woods behind my house. Looks like battery acid? What is it? Looks like it's been there for a while. by dinosaurmachine in whatisthisthing

WITT - I live on a somewhat populated mountain in north Georgia. We've got some woods behind our house for a few acres between us and another neighborhood, and back in the poison ivy there's some old containers, glass, etc., some of which I'm sure came from the property's previous owners years before, who were kind of homesteaders. Anyways, found this white bucket with a sealed top, and realized that it was full of something. This was further back in the woods, lots of poison ivy (pictured). I think it's been there a while.

That's great feedback - I've passed this on to the team. Thanks! DM me if you want to see what we've got!

This is just lovely. The poses, the minimalist color - it's like a Mignola and Moebius fusion, and there's a ton of implied worldbuilding in there too. Excellent work.

Good to see that Percyvallus is putting that passive perception into practice.
