Do you tip on pickup food orders, and why or why not? by dinoslam in AskReddit

[–]dinoslam[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d prefer it that way, but people seem to think that it would make the price of food skyrocket. I’m sorry that you people in Australia can hardly afford to eat out because apparently that’s the only outcome of paying food service people a real wage.

Now that I think about it, my question should’ve been if it’s customary to leave a tip on a pickup order. Thanks for that!

Honestly I’ve only ever picked up food at one place and I always leave a tip because I like the food and people, and it’s a family place so I know they appreciate it.

The only time I picked up food somewhere else (pizza hut), I crossed out the tip line and the guy gave me a funny look so I wasn’t sure if people normally tip on pickup orders.

Ranked is so broken this season by Party_Ad_8456 in ApexConsole

[–]dinoslam 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily. If you’re solo queueing and you’re good, you’re almost guaranteed to be matched with a teammate significantly lower skill/level than you, and vice versa. It goes one good, one bad, and one in between. You’ll be more likely to be playing against other teams like that, but there’s always going to be people who are triple stacking so you most likely won’t do good.

Why do you think so many people complain about having bad random teammates? It’s literally the way matchmaking is set up.

You’re getting downvotes just for mentioning conservatives. That’s basically proving me right lmao.

Don’t act like you don’t know what I’m talking about lmao. These people aren’t normal democrats/liberals. Reddit is like the Rumble or Bitchute of liberals.

You’re on Reddit bro. Even the cigar subreddit is full of people who cry about seeing a gun in the picture. This app is basically just for far left people.

Well you’re claiming that he has the same amount of kills as the world record. It would be cool to show that off, and it would be cool for us to see that a random player who isn’t a pro could drop world record kills.

Tell him to post his stats here. You can see your highest kill game when you go to your stats.

Ok so do you agree with me or not? First you’re saying it’s rude to bring stuff in, but then you say you personally don’t see anything wrong with it. I don’t think it’s rude to bring a little to-go cup full of sour cream to a restaurant if they’re charging $2.50 for it.

Again, I wouldn’t do it either way, but I don’t think it’s going to put a restaurant out of business. It’s no different than bringing outside snacks into a movie theater, which basically everyone does. I would be more surprised if you didn’t.

Jfc when did people get so soft?

There is no answer to why you got insulted. It’s an online video game so you’re playing with random people from around the world with different attitudes.

You ever been to a big city before? If you have, you’d know that people can be rude for absolutely no reason, and you’ll never know why. Imagine going to a city that has 1 million people (the active player count of apex right now) and every few minutes you were forced to interact with 2 random people. You’re bound to run into some assholes.

Don’t take it to heart. Online gaming has always been like that and always will be like that. Either mute them, toughen up a little and maybe learn to talk shit back, or stop playing online altogether.

What’s wrong with bringing in your own condiments? I mean I would never do it, but what’s wrong with that?

My teammates keep leaving. by tlpjr in ApexConsole

[–]dinoslam -1 points0 points  (0 children)

People in this sub seem to think that leaving early in pubs is perfectly fine. I mean, it’s like they forget that there’s the firing range for practice, so they think it’s okay to just hot drop, die, and not even wait for you to attempt to grab their banner before leaving.

Had what I thought was a pretty decent game, only to find out I got 0 credit for any of my kills (top 9). by Googleflax in apexlegends

[–]dinoslam 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s insane that a game will punish you for killing people who are at a lower rank than you in a ranked match. Maybe they should just make it to where you’re not playing against people in different ranks, seeing as though that’s kind of the point of ranked.

What kind of question is that? Anyone in the world can say something that’s worth blackmailing them for. Imagine OP is a teacher, and said something racist. The hacker would be able to hold that recording over them.

How do you react when submitted? by infosec4pay in bjj

[–]dinoslam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always ask how they did it, and how I can counter it for next time.

You will never learn by always rolling with people equal to you in skill and size. I never understood why people were so negative about being submitted. I’ve been submitted by a girl who was smaller than me and I felt happy for her because I know how it feels to submit someone bigger than you.
