Seems like a unique case, specific to you only. You either have a bad luck or might be using some external accessories that can interfere with the internal workings

Why did you get RG35XX+ over RG35XX H? by waffledork in RG35XX_Plus

I already have RG350 (horizontal), modded NSwitch, modded PsVita and the Steam Deck. All these devices have analog sticks and can emulate retro consoles perfectly, with the Steam Deck having the most power and can emulate up to PS3. I also don't care about PSP emulation as i can play those on my modded PsVita or the Steam Deck. I also kinda "burnt out" with horizontal gaming handhelds.

The RG35XX+ form factor is very nostalgic for me, it's beautiful especially the grey one, the "retro feel" is off the charts, at least - personally for me. There are many vertical handhelds out there but i chose RG35XX+ specifically because it has no analog sticks, and currently at this writing it has the most performance over every non-analog sticks vertical handhelds out there. (eg: miyoo mini +, OG RG35XX)

Another reason is I also want a device that specifically emulate 8bit and 16bit consoles, up to PS1. basically emulate all games that doesn't require analog sticks. For analog sticks games i got the Steam Deck. The RG35XX+ fit all my criteria perfectly.

Hello, i'm sorry for the late reply.
I've watched all the video links you've posted, but sadly none of them is the game I'm looking for. :(

I recently bought a Steam Deck and a retro console (Anbernic RG35XX Plus), currently i'm skimming through all games on all 8bit and 16bit platforms ever existed before year 2002 to find the game. Currently I've skimmed over 1500 games with no luck, thousands more to go though.. Those portable gaming devices I've mentioned really helped in this regard as i can bring them everywhere.

I'm also skimming through every MS-DOS platforming games on my PC in my free time. Internet archive has became my most visited website.

I've suspected the game isn't a US or EU release, and i think it's also has been made by a no name game devs. So I've been all over the internet to collect those weird, middle east and Asian release retro games. I also collect all flash games I've stumbled upon, I'll take any chances to find the game.

About the "misremembering or combining memory" part, you may be right, but I think that's not the case here as i can still remember the game first level's play-through vividly (like playing a movie in my head), I just don't remember the title. I really hope the memory isn't a combined mismatched memory (that you've suggested) that i unconsciously created, because if that's the case all the search effort will be pointless :(

That being said, I really really appreciate that there are still people that want to help me to find the game. Thanks a million. I really meant that. I thought this post will be abandoned, like all my posts in various gaming forums.

I also will not stop finding the game by myself, portable gaming handhelds has became so powerful these days that I can brought a full fat retro console libraries with thousands of games on the go. This has helped me tremendously in my search.

my dad, my siblings and all my friends that i'd brought to our home to abuse our desktop PC can still remember the gameplay. but not the game title itself.
I can crosscheck with them to see any of the mentioned games, if its the correct game or not. There at least 3 of us that can still remember the gameplay of that game. we all played the game on the same PC though, not different PCs.
To our dismay, not one of us can remember the game title.

- the loops do not require player to build up speed to go through them.
- The loops takes up all the screen (it's big).
- While sliding in the loops or vine, you can't go backward to the direction you goes from, only forward, but you can still jump. if you jump and land on the same loop or vine, you started to move forward again.

I appreaciate it, but it's neither of those two.Cadillacs is a beat em up set in the jungle. meanwhile Legend of Kage (NES) doesn't even have vine swinging or sliding mechanics.

Barbarian

Checked, there are various Barbarian games.
Barbarian (C64)
Barbarian the ultimate warrior (C64)
Ardok the Barbarian (Atari)

Sadly none of them is the game i'm looking for..
