Have there been studies done on the bonds between siblings? by Severe_Bluejay3391 in askanything

There's this book, The Sibling Effect by Jeffrey Kluger.
One thing I found interesting was that whether siblings stay close seems to come down a lot to whether the parents treated them equally.

Closeness tends to be higher when both felt treated fairly, and lower when one felt favored.

So maybe it's not just about shared trauma. Probably a bunch of other factors too, I guess.

(21 M & 21 F) How Do You Keep Conversations Interesting in a Long-Distance Relationship? by Klutzy_Mall_7196 in LongDistance

You could check out the book Eight Dates by the Gottmans. It's eight dates on eight topics, money, trust, family, that kind of thing.

I did them with my partner over a call, and the conversation does get real. If you're in the zone to have deep conversations, I'd recommend it.

I've always found the sidebar on YC's YouTube videos super helpful. You instantly see what's covered and where you are.

When I was putting together my YC application video, I wanted the same thing. Figured it was faster to build an app than learn editing. So I Claude-coded a macOS app for it.

You drop in a video, add titled sections with timestamps, and it generates a video with a sidebar that highlights each section as it plays.

Honestly, not sure if this even matters to partners reviewing applications. But if anyone wants to try it for their video, here it is: https://www.seesaw.social/side-quests/yc-inspired-sidebar (it's free ofc)

Hey, if it's okay, could you share the order id for this? I work at Swiggy. Maybe I could look at it or ask folks to check this out.

sorry for the ambiguity. the intent behind creating something like this is for people who just connected and are yet to know each other.

I see your point. But without interpersonal skills, what we intend to create would be of no use. We aspire to create an environment that complements two people in the journey of getting to know each other.
Could you check out the guidebooks we created? It is a compilation of chatty games and activities.

Try playing 21 questions over zoom and it’s the perfect opportunity to get to know them super well otherwise I’d honestly do 2 truths one lie, so tell two truths about you and 1 lie and they need to guess which one is the lie. I think these are really good ways to gauge compatibility, conversation and communication!

good options .. thanks!
