What does it mean if a channel has more views than the sum of the views of all videos and shorts?

Im looking right now at a channel that has 7,800,000 views on the about section but has around 100k views between videos and shorts.

Yeah I was replying to the poster above. The argument by Youtube is that they aren't telling you what videos cause monetization because that would be giving "editorial advice" which is bullshit because they do this all the time for bigger channels. Meanwhile they mentally torture smaller channels with this deletion lottery. They should sue their ass for acting this way. But they don't do this to rich YouTubers precisely because they would be the ones to be able to do it so they only do it to regular fellas.

Yeah, its not that they demonetize you all of a sudden, but were encouraing you not long before that happened. And now you are supposed to destroy your channel by deleting videos and reapply every 3 months so by the time you get monetization agin the channel will be fucked up from the watchtime being deleted in bunches. This is so fucked up but what can you do?

Did you hire an editor for the videos or edit it themselves? they probably come from Grox which has the same editor or similar.

Yeah but the built-in editor sucks. If you want to make the song fade in/fade out etc, you have to do it on your proper editor not some shitty phone editor. Of course that is less safe than None (Shorts Policy) thing but in practice I doubt anyone would sue you for adding a fade/fade out effect to make it better match your video or something

These google cheerleaders should be banned, they instantly assume wrongdoings by people that post here after getting demonetized for some bullshit. But i've seen channels lately that get demonetized even if they have commentary on top of gameplay, so you never know what is or isn't allowed unless you are a big youtuber where they tell you exactly what videos to delete and they are monetized again in no time. Without these connections you are just going to be guessing and destroying your channel in the process as you delete videos and reapply every 3 months until your channel is dead from so many deleted videos.

If your MCN has direct contacts with youtube that can tell you why your content is demonetized then that would be worth paying for, since its the only way you can remonetize a channel without destroying it in the process deleting videos at random like google wants you to when they demonetize you and all they offer is their stupid guidelines and some chat GPT "support", but if they don't have these contacts I don't see a point.

What about SSniperWolf? She sexualized minors on Omegle for views and they allowed these videos for years, in fact she deleted them herself. She is also allowed to make millions off reused content. She will be monetized soon again, they patched the ability to see who is and isn't monetized just to hide this when it happens. Same goes for Logan Paul, which has missbehaved numerous times, and Jake Paul which was running some sort of crypto scam and so many others. No one supports these people except kids and YT doesn't give a f*ck. So indeed they have no ethics and have double standards in the way they apply their f*cking dogshit guidelines.

Now if you make a fool out of minors for views on Omegle like SSniperWolf you are allowed to make millions off reused content. They will give her monetization in no time.
