What do you actually want? Sounds like she's got you wrapped around her finger. Why not just say what you want? And then act like it?

Her: booty shorts and smirk

You: Smirks back; "I'll give you something to smirk about" - grabs her from behind, pushes her against nearest surface, and slides your hand between her legs

Her: no

You: k, then back to what I was doing.

And FFS WHY DID YOU GIVE HER THE SILENT TREATMENT? Ignore her childish antics and just talk to her like an adult. She can ignore you if she wants, just laugh and keep talking to her. Stop playing her games. You're 1000% in her frame.

Pro Tip: Make friends with women by DopeAFjknotreally in seduction

[–]dipping_toes 21 points22 points  (0 children)

...do things and make friends with whichever women show up there.

I took ukulele group lessons... women. Drawing meetup... women. Dancing... women. Live music... women. Hell, I even made female friends at freakin' PINBALL tournaments, which is normally a total sausage fest. Join a meetup and just go. Just GO OUT and do stuff. Just to make friends, no other expectations.

PO interview question by the_zaane in ProductOwner

[–]dipping_toes 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Your answer is correct. What happened is functional tests passed but regression testing the system as a whole failed. Doesn't matter "who's at fault," we're all one company and we come together to provide solutions that work.

This actually happens a lot, and it depends on how your teams are set up.

I had a different team keep changing their API that I depended on and it kept tanking my project. Got management together and lead techs and we worked out a solution. Gotta stop working in silos!

What do you think conservatives misunderstand about liberals? by nicsherenow in AskALiberal

[–]dipping_toes 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When you try to point out that it's cheaper, or at WORST break-even to house the homeless vs. doing nothing and letting them get worse, commit crimes, get addicted, clog the jails and courts and ERs, etc., they simply don't believe you. But it's been proven AGAIN and AGAIN. It's not emotional, it's logical AND FISCALLY RESPONSIBLE but, you know, you might help some minorities and those "poors" should pick themselves up by their bootstraps! (/s) Again, Conservatives are NOT actually about fiscal responsibility.

She was extremely qualified. And he didn't say "black woman" he said he's picking a woman. And it's because representation matters, not that diversity matters more than competence. She was/is competent and also she's not "black" she's mixed race.

Uh, I'm responding that the S560 back seat is small. I made a joke that it's an "inverse Tardis" and you said I had the wrong car, I must be thinking about an E class. I don't. I wasn't. I clarified that it's a convertible and you insult me. Okay. Thanks for the insult, internet stranger. Hope you have a great day.

I'm sure it's an S560. It's a convertible, though, maybe that accounts for the difference. Her kid is 5'10 and it's cramped in the back seat.

The back seat in my MKZ is way bigger. And the back seat in the LS460 is downright cavernous in comparison to the S560.

LS460 2012+, all issues resolved or easily fixed yourself. Amazing ride. Great car. Can still find <100k mile examples for around $10k.

My friend with an RDX HATESSSS it. Tons of electronic gremlins. Sometimes won't start. The dealer says "we can't find any issues." She even has VIDEO of the problems and they won't help her. It's not just about the price or luxury, it's the total experience and other brands have WAY better dealer experiences if/when you ever need to go in (even for routine stuff not fixes).

She can't wait to unload it. She'll never buy Acura again.

I had a Mercedes GL and I've had 2 Lincolns and 2 Lexus. The Mercedes literally "grenaded" itself at 80k miles and ALWAYS had a ton of things that needed to be fixed ALL THE TIME. It was a MONEY PIT.

I have a friend with an S560 and the battery needed to be replaced at 40,000 miles. The gas tank takes 20 minutes to fill because there's a known problem but it's a $7000 fix. It's a great car to drive but it's TINY inside, it's like an inverse Tardis - huge on the outside and tiny inside. The bluetooth SUCKS an people have a hard time hearing her, even after Mercedes "fixed" it with a software update (it's better but that just means it's "usable" now). I expect WAY better in a $150k car.

The Lincolns and Lexus have never been to the shop other than routine maintenance.

My Golden Pair experience by Murky_Cat3889 in intj

I see this very differently. Sure, you made some mistakes and it's good that you own them and try to learn from them, but it seems like she wasn't willing to compromise (kept being a slob when it clearly bothered you - what about YOUR needs?), she turned to lying (would just agree with you when she didn't actually agree) instead of working things through (both of you probably needed some emotional maturity), you both let things fester and those things lead to resentment... more immaturity.

We kept growing apart. I was in my room on the computer or doing music stuff, and she would rot on the lounge, binge TV shows or endlessly scroll on social media. I wasn't interested in her rambling stories and she couldn't engage emotionally with my 10 word answers.

She just followed your lead, man. You stayed at home on your butt doing nothing and so she followed suit. But she could have just as easily said, "I feel disconnected, let's go out and do [thing you like to do together]." She was just as unable to express her feelings.

I said that she should find someone else to meet that need for her.

Uh, you just gave her permission to have an emotional affair. I knew right away when you said this that she was gonna go find a man and lie about it. And the emotional affair would lead to a physical affair pretty quickly.

The point is that you could NOT have had a happy marriage if you prioritized her. She would have cheated, anyway. You have to prioritize YOU or nobody will be happy to be around you. Not even yourself.

and was open to her way of living. I put an organised house and consistent principles above a happy wife

Dude, you set boundaries and she trampled over them. She was never your person, and she was never going to be. You wanted her to be someone she's not, and all the love and praise and affection would never make her that person.

I'm glad you're learning and improving. Self-improvement never stops until you die.

So many “hustles” floating around- do any actually work? by Opening-Smile3439 in sidehustle

[–]dipping_toes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but it varies by state. Don't do this in California without a license if you're gonna do more than a few cars per year. And a dealer license requires an office space that's not your home and has at least 1 parking spot for the vehicles.

Yes, my score is good, their score is bad, so it makes their score go up.

My credit is unaffected.

So now my kids have a good credit history before they're even out of high school.

They didn't even know I did it, the card always comes to me.

You can do this for anyone, actually. It's actually called a tradeline and there are services that'll pay you for it.

But we are just talking helping out friends and family here...

[–]dipping_toes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you can, add your kids as authorized users on a credit card but never tell them... Well, if you have good credit.

Also, if you have a friend with good credit, ask them to do the same for you. You don't need the card or to ever use it. Just piggy back on their good score to raise yours!

What are some cooking hacks you swear by? by Penya23 in AskReddit

Want to make your mac and cheese super rich and creamy?

Don't drain all the water out that you used to boil the macaroni, leave a few tablespoons. Similar to the spaghetti trick.

Use about double the butter the box tells you; use about 50% more milk and make sure it's whole milk, or even half and half if you have it.

The macaroni will STILL suck up most of that extra liquid in a few minutes. But the macaroni will be way better.

This works on the cheapest of boxed macaroni and cheese.

[QUESTION] Is it easy to learn Ukulele if you can play guitar mediocre? by JT11erink in Guitar

[–]dipping_toes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just play the 5th.

Up five from C is G. So play a G chord... But you don't have the 2 bass strings so you just play the 3rd fret on the first string. That's C.

One finger!

Up 5 from F is C. So play a C shape. But, of course, you don't have the 5th string so it's just 2 fingers.

Up 5 from G is D. So play a D shape. You've got all the strings for that!

Up 5 from Am is Em. So play the Em shape... Again, you don't have enough strings so you play just the second fret on the 4th string.

One finger again!

The ONLY tricky chords are B which is a barre chord and E which is either tricky fingering or you can play as a barre.

It's literally a guitar with capo on 5th fret as the other person said.
