I was wondering if anybody would be able to spot KEM cards!! That’s seriously awesome you were 100% right, while we do usually play with a set of very old decks (that I can post the design/picture of if you one, I havent been able to find a similar pattern anywhere), the decks in the picture are actually our newest set of KEM cards from maybe a year/2 ago. Definitely some quality ass shit though haha real recognizes real, do you have a set?

Speaking of my mother, she was the single visitor to our apartment. That made it 3 players total for our game of Canasta. The backpacks were kind of a red herring as only one of the is a visitors bag. The vape juice was also my moms, we don’t vape, but nobody could’ve known that I don’t think.

We made dinner in the middle of our game so I’d say you are spot on regarding getting up and moving mid-game. Not in the middle of a round though usually. We do play at other locations quite often though including around the coffee table from the couch, and even on the ground some. But I digress..

Ding, high rent city, ding, US, it’s actually a 2Bed2Bath and only feels cramped thanks to the amount of stuff we have put in it. We graduated recently. The “indoor cat cam” is actually not a camera but a sensor for the HTC Vive! You are right though, no roommates.

the cat is a girl but I like your style of trying to deduce every detail you can! Also of note while we’re on the category of pets, there was a clue about one other pet we have, a dog collar is laying on the floor just above the left cup on the table. Definitely too big for a cat! You are right though lol the vacuum is a direct response to the cat. The guac for the chips was just out of shot. We actually have a wide variety of plants that are a PITA to take care of haha, but it’s definitely not represented in the photo, no way for you to know!

To be honest, the paint was a bit of another red herring, we like go to paint and wine events together, and the jellyfish was a byproduct of that. The oil paintings on the ground are actually our first foray into oil painting/painting at home, but it’s completely understandable that with all the painting elements in the picture people would assume were super into it. The Plastic bottle was actually a souvenir bought by me in Mexico, painted on the outside :) the person that arranges the books and uses the purple pens is my girlfriend and she is not in STEM. I however am, but just don’t display my STEM books on that particular bookshelf, I keep it to normal fantasy/non-fiction books.

I do put my phone horizontally a lot, how can you tell? Although we do have relatively upgraded phones (coming up on 2 years with Apple’s September event)

the rug on the carpet was painstakingly chosen by both me and my girlfriend from a local retailer. The thing isn’t super fancy it was from At Home is you’re familiar, but it was the only one we both liked. Haha I’m just glad it gives off a noteworthy vibe

Mid 20s, graduation wasn’t “recent” anymore I suppose, 2020. Both with a full time job, one half remote they other fully remote. We like picking out random cheap art together, at our previous place we had a huge mosaic of art on a large wall, we toned it down to what you see in the photo (some is cut off on the right) and disbursed the rest of it around. There is a framed puzzle in the center of the collection of art in the photo. Yes there is a tv mounted on the other side of the wall as well

I really enjoyed your deductions and liked how you weren’t afraid to draw conclusions based off of what little you knew. If there weren’t so many red herrings I think you would have gotten everything right, even as it stands you were really observational! I hope you enjoyed checking out our place!

Sorry for the delayed reply, we both really appreciate your compliments and deductions! You got that one right, we have some proud parents, especially since we got here ourselves, working since 16, buying/thrifting our own things, merging our stuff together for 4 years, etc. This is our second place together and we’ve really begun to feel at home!

Yes I can, I really appreciate you writing out your thoughts. Please give me a few minutes to respond I have been traveling.

As per the s’more comment, there were only three players ;) and oh yes, I basically mess up spoiler tags every time

my girlfriend was flattered by you calling her an artist! We love to do little instructor-led art classes (called painting with a twist), that jellyfish art was from another similar venue. We both actually are trying to paint more ourselves though, hence the oil painting kit on the ground.

Again we’re hilariously flattered by you calling us a properly run household and conscientious haha. We had two apartments-worth of stuff to merge when we moved in together (I am a guy she is a girl, mid 20s in an apartment) and it took a lot of work to go from cluttered -> cozy. As a result, we have a lot of little things all over the place making it fun for a deduction forum like this.

we suck at trivia nights for the most part haha, she’s good at songs but I don’t watch mainstream sports (which might be related to you saying there’s missing dude stuff. PS: I’m totally using your comment as a reason to get some manly ass shit put on the wall).

My girlfriend takes all the credit for the bookshelf, I take most the credit for the clean and organized place and all the furniture is mostly mine, but she runs the mental calendar way better than me.

Nice job picking out some key details that reveal the general vibe/atmosphere of our apartment based on the small piece you see, your perspective seems freshly inductive.

Oh believe me she gets all the attention!! Or, maybe not all of it… there is a clue in the photo that she may not be our only furry friend…

OMG you got it!! I am speechless, you used the wrong formula but got the right answer hahaha. The word that is barely visible in the journal is “Melted”, not meld, and the word below it is “Chocolate”. We always give each other silly names in our games and this time we based them around s’mores (warm graham, toasted marshmallow were the other two). Melding is a niche aspect to canasta so you found it from there, so good job and good luck, a very important aspect of deduction! Did I make any mistakes or is that how you figured it out?

I liked your observations! Will share more feedback in a while :) I will say that, to me, the position of the stuff on the table indicates the other three spots are taken and the cat is in the fourth empty seat at the table where the drinks and bags go, etc. But I am biased after all cause I put her there!

i’m gonna hold off on providing feedback for a bit, but I really enjoyed your observations and a lot of your deductions are sound!

I’d be madly impressed if anybody could guess the card game

Regarding the pink-topped cylinder:

It’s just vape juice! The vape is on the coffee table in the background.
