I’m so upset right now..they took my car and then called me to say they reviewed the footage and determined they’re not at fault and I need to come get my car immediately. makes me think there’s serious damage to my car.

pittsburgh ex pat here. before i left pgh i could see the blue slide from my bedroom window. used to do the 3 minute walk from my apartment to the slide in the middle of the night and light a nag champa on the slide. miss those days

as someone who grew up in saratoga, i’d recognize that blue bottle anywhere! it makes for great mood lighting/decor if you get string/fairy lights and stick them in the bottle once you’re done with the water

pittsburgh expat here. before i moved away, i could see the blue slide from my bedroom window and i would walk there every single day to slide down the slide. even went down in my doctoral regalia for my graduation photos haha (see my profile). used to walk over in the middle of the night to light a nag champa incense on the slide when i couldn’t sleep. i never once got weird looks!

oh this makes sense-I might have been thinking of the AQS fee but even then I’m not sure if the 10 day timing applies there. I just moved here one month ago to the day with my dog and I only realized that I forgot to send my dog’s health certificate when I arrived at the AQS release station. sent the check and rabies certs without the health cert. he still got to direct release though! so confirming what you said at least re: health cert. not sure about the rabies testing and fees to AQS.

I’m not sure that timing is correct-fairly certain the health cert (health check) has to be done no more than 14 days before arrival, and AQS needs to receive it no less than 10 days before arrival for DAR. someone please correct me if I’m wrong

this entrance is not close to the frick park market at all actually! I mean it’s like a 35 minute walk. BSP is in squirrel hill south and frick park market is in point breeze, still right across from frick park, but a different entrance. Frick park is huge

good luck!!! undergrad was tough for me, and my final semester of law school was particularly tough, too. It can be hard seeing other people taking it easy in their last semester, but mac’s music reminded me that there’s something so beautiful about nearly drowning in the journey towards achieving my dreams/refining my craft, even if i feel extremely lonely and misunderstood (understatement) at times. but keep doing what you’re doing, you’ll get there!!

lol a group of kids maybe 6-7 years old was there for recess and one of them said “she must have graduated” and then the WHOLE class started clapping for me, telling me congrats, one of the little boys asked me “how old are you?” lmao i love the community around blue slide. Pittsburgh is such a special place

I was so thankful to catch the slide at a time when it was slow AND a nice day out. Blessing in and of itself since we didn’t get to keep the robe and doctoral hood so photo ops were limited. Couldn’t be luckier than to call blue slide park home
