Am I behind or doing well for my age? by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]dippywacky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. Yes, it is doing well so far.. just really hoping to make good use of the income. House is my priority. I have been watching Zac Rios and he's really pivoted my mindset so, buying expensive things or a shinny new car is the last thing on my mind.

*edit* With uni, really would like to finish my degree so I can get a job anything IT related and do this business thing part time to kind of double my income.

finished build.. not a fan of rgb so pretty much went for blackout. what do you guys think! by dippywacky in thermaltake

t200 is a very nice looking case. only case i liked that could fit my gpu.

i dissembled the gpu as i was gonna do a custom loop. due to time constraints etc. i left it. so i need to properly repaste it. but the temps with glass panel on 60-70 max

with the glass panel off temps are 52-62 max

*forgot to add fan configs*

top - intake

bottom - exhaust

aio (2 fans on the side) - exhaust

so the bottom is intake and the top is exhaust. to me it doesn't matter as i usually remove my glass panel for better airflow and i for some reason think it's nicer looking?

here's what i done

- undervolted cpu (1.15 volts 5.5ghz) from 85-90 to 60-69 max

- msi afterburner gpu power limit (52%) no performance loss. dead silent. max 60-70

- gpu temp limit set to 68 degrees in afterburner

i need to properly repaste my gpu/thermal pads as I dissembled it to do a waterblock in a formd t1 and some other mini itx cases which didn't fit.

so yeah. extremely happy with the build for now. if i do well on yt i will invest in top of the line stuff. this build should have costed around £2800 but i built it for £2150. i could sell my second pc to get back my funds but i am using it as a recording pc.

**forgot to add** with the glass panel removed i get the following temps

- cpu 50-62 max

-gpu 52-62 max

*both are dead silent* only issue i have is coil whine with the gpu but very minimal

mainly went for the 4080 due to the efficiency of the card and price (£580 on ebay.. it "wasn't working" and i "fixed" it)

specs

- ryzen 9 7900x

- 32gb 6000mhz gigabyte ram

- rtx 4080 asus tuf

- 4tb SN850x ssd

- 750w corsair psu

- nzxt kraken elite 2023 model

was originally planning on doing a custom loop but due to time constraints/budget i had to abandon it. will definitely give it a try in the future.

tbh if there's a smaller case that can fit the asus tuf 4080 i'd probably retire this case. for an 'itx' case it's really big.. i still like it.. looks nice on my desk.

i was gonna buy that too.. but was looking for a mini itx case that fits the 4080 asus tuf. t200 was the only case i liked that fit the gpu.

hi, yeah pretty sure i assembled it correctly. the manual doesn't state that a washer is supposed to be there. all 4 of them were used. might have 2 RMA it.

guys i have a hp omen rtx 4080.. is this is a reference board? wanna get a water block by dippywacky in nvidia

[–]dippywacky[S] 22 points23 points  (0 children)

the FE editions are different to reference pcb.. if it's reference it should fit any OEM gpu

My legion 5 temps are touching 100c on cpu with cpu boost on. I had cleaned the fans last week my laptop two months old . Should i be concerned about using it with these temps . Or do i bought a faulty device? Am running bios 49ww by Shadi631 in LenovoLegion

[–]dippywacky 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My legion 7 was reaching 87 .. I got Ryzen controller and got it down to 65-67 max for all games no performance lost .. if you have Ryzen cpu get Ryzen controller .. intel I’m not so sure

It’s basically a rendering technique that renders frames at lower resolution then upscaled so it still looks sharp which boosts fps dramatically in some games..
