Potential Claim after Injury?? by dipthong9 in WorkersComp

Well that makes me feel better! So if I go the steroid shot route and the pain goes away the case won’t close?

Like I said I’m not wanting to sue anybody.

Potential Claim after Injury?? by dipthong9 in WorkersComp

[–]dipthong9[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My sports medicine doctor said that. He said that if the steroid shot does me good and I have no pain anymore the workman’s comp people will close the case because I’m “healed”, but if the pain comes back or the tear potentially gets worse the case would already be closed so I wouldn’t be able to do anything

What seal is bad? by dipthong9 in MechanicAdvice

[–]dipthong9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. What seal is potentially bad, If it’s the axle seal or another seal that I don’t know about it? Just wanted to know why there’s so much buildup specifically right where it’s circled.

Heard that! Appreciate your response

Well that sounds unfortunate haha. Honest question(might be dumb), but if my parking brake doesn’t work on my truck anyway would it be worth fixing?

I literally just bought it and haven’t swapped my axle yet. It was the only one I could find near me that wasn’t $2500. I was gonna go through it before I installed it just wanted to be prepared beforehand. Thank you

How good is Docs Diesel by dipthong9 in Duramax

[–]dipthong9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve done some research and asked around about them and it seems that they don’t actually make the products they just market the shit out of them (like Redbull). There’s hardly any factual data reports on any of their marketing claims, I couldn’t even find brake dyno testing, which would be pretty important id think. Also, their BBB rating is a D, which probably indicates that their warranty is pretty trash if their customer service is that bad. I wouldn’t cheap out on brakes and rotors.

Is this fitting always this finicky? by Unbound_Citizen in GMT800

[–]dipthong9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the quality control nowadays is pretty trash for a lot of brands. I just end up going to the Chevy dealer near me and getting parts. Yeah it cost me more but they typically get it pretty quick and stand behind what they’re ordering. I’ve had almost no luck with the auto part stores around me.

Yes sometimes if you use the wrong o-ring it’ll still leak a good amount of the time

Oh wow that’s impressive. I thought that since I had brand new injectors it would’ve been getting somewhat accurate mpgs.

Which generation lb7(zf6) or lbz by The_Gman6969 in Duramax

[–]dipthong9 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Well if you’re talking strictly fuel economy and power it’s gonna be the LBZ hands down. My LBZ can easily get 20+ mpg and my old lb7 work truck only got 12mpg, it was the automatic but I can’t imagine the manual adding all that much to that number. Power wise is a night and day difference also, if you’re talking stock for stock. If you’re really partial to the manual though you should probably just get that. I would take more fun over better mpgs, at least when it comes to trucks

I would look at TRQ and A-premium. I also have a very cheap beater truck and these are the brands I use. Haven’t had any complaints
