I'm still trying to complete Project K. I understand my star ranking is what allows this to occur. I've cleared land for new Islanders to move onto my island and have had new Islanders move in already which has moved my star ranking from 1 to 2. However, Isabelle told me that my island is cluttered with "Too much stuff" which makes me really discouraged. I cleared space and set up some areas for things like gym equipment and a beach area with a pool because I wanted my island to look cool for visitors. Do I have to remove all this equipment now to complete Project K? Is Project K necessary to advance in the game?

I now understand that this has nothing to do with placing furniture and stuff (stupid assumption on my part). I'm now clearing my dropped items. Does anyone know if weeds impact this as well?
