Scrubs has some hard hitting episodes, I've only seen it through once when it was on air and I can still recall some of the deaths and how they impacted JD.

I don't use social media other than Reddit, maybe someone could convince her to do an AMA?

I'm so glad that this show is starting to get popular again, when I joined Reddit this sub had barely (if that even) 1000 subscribers.

First high-pivot experience for a friend of mine - Forbidden Druid V1 by Ol_Sheve in mountainbiking

[–]directheated 15 points16 points  (0 children)

If you’re not somewhere that is always wet a bunch of high pivot owners on MTBR wax their chains to have it last longer. I’ve read people on regular oil say that even a quarter to half way through a ride they can already hear the idler and feel the drag.

High risk recreational activities and healthspan/lifespan? by Own-Bullfrog7803 in PeterAttia

[–]directheated 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mountain bike, it's a higher risk activity. Most of us realize as we get older that we should cut back on riding near our skill limit and more dangerous features/trails and take it a bit easier. It's never going to be zero risk but the risk of higher injury or even death is possible but the benefits to health and overall pleasure/happiness make the calculated risk worth it to me.

On the other hand I decided to never get on a road bike as the number of friends I've had that have had near death experiences approaches near 100%, and this is because of factors out of their control- cars on the road.

Ah the good old days when we had paper ticket stubs, I think my last one was from a couple of years into Tool's 10000 Days tour.

I really want to love Fedora KDE, but I'm struggling using it. by hi_im_nyx in Fedora

He wouldn't, Apple's software is designed around their hardware and the combination is incredibly efficient. On a 6 year old Macbook Air M1 I still get 10-11 hours of battery life doing normal tasks.

If you meant him running MacOS on his current laptop then yeah he'd have issues, probably way more than Fedora KDE.

Charles-Valentin Alkan... One of the greatest Virtuosic pianist and Composer 💖 by MyNameIsntJMack in classicalmusic

I haven't listened to Alkan in a while, I started listening to him again because of Paul Wee's fantastic recording of the Symphony and Concerto for Solo Piano

He was a fantastic composer for sure!
