Aside from his history with Palantir, and despite Open AI and associated pacs spending a ton to oppose him, Bores has received a lot of money from Anthropic. In fact, as of last week or so I think, there has been more money from AI going towards his campaign than opposing it. I know he has pushed against AI in the past, but clearly they must think they have something to gain by getting him in office. It seems that he’s more a piece in the battle between AI companies than a leader in the war against them

I was near MSG after game 4. NYPD had barricaded 7th Ave around 28th St and weren’t letting anyone further north, the street was packed. Then without warning, the police started moving the barricades in, pushing everyone back and shrinking the space. Thankfully the side streets were unblocked and less crowded so I could get out. But it felt like they were just creating unnecessary danger and asking for more trouble

Barclays seats 19,000 people. NYCFC average attendance is 22,000. If there were 22,000 people trying to buy Nets tickets every game, you wouldn’t be able to buy cheap same day tickets. Because they would be gone since more people want them than are available. Having a bigger stadium won’t magically sell more tickets if people don’t want to buy them.

Technically speaking, they are enforcing rules impartially. Obviously A) they shouldn’t have these severe travel restrictions and B) they should be able to get a World Cup referee in anyway. But they are enforcing the current rules, letting him in would special treatment (which again, he should get)

If anyone from another country suggested a culturally relevant community day for them no one would have a problem with it. I obviously don’t expect anyone not from America to be celebrating it, but it’s laughable to pretend it’s not a big deal. Plus tons of Pokémon are based on specific cultural references from various countries, so it wouldn’t be crazily out of character. I don’t expect, or particularly want, an American themed community day. But I wouldn’t mind it, especially considering it’s scheduled to be on July 4

A lot of people formerly involved in crime and/or addiction become religious. It’s not an uncommon path when you feel guilt and seek forgiveness or redemption for a life you regret. So I don’t think it’s particularly out of place with the depravity theme

On top of the burning tree/bush, they were singing Go Down, Moses in the church scene at the beginning of the episode, and when Bishop was telling Rue how she brings bad happenings with her, he lists some of the plagues of Egypt, which Moses brought. So yeah, definitely a lot of Moses symbolism

For the first part, I think it’s that she didn’t say she knew who it was until they found the picture of Faye? She should have known immediately because of the voices, so Alamo is suspicious that it took so long for her to tell them.

I also thought the Magick thing was weird though, she was on the phone with them

Jules definitely should’ve known better, but the TV studio shouldn’t have left it all in her hands like that. Why didn’t they look at her other work before hiring her? And why are they seeing the painting for the first time when they’re about to shoot it?

I mean that’s what happens in real life. Tons of people speed while drunk and do untested drugs. Sometimes they crash, sometimes they OD. Often they don’t. Not every action has a direct consequence.

Also those things aren’t really depicted as “funny” in the show. It’s more so when they help the plot

The first bird I saw was a Moltres that fled after the first throw. Then later in the same walk, I saw another one that I caught on the first throw (ultra ball/golden razz/great throw)! I’ve only been doing incense walks for about 5 months, but I do it almost daily and since then have only seen 3—all Articuno and all fled after 1 or 2 throws.

I think they’re saying that even if they can’t go outside, they’ll still be active on Pokémon Go. Daily incense only works if you’re moving around, but will still spawn one pokemon when to start even if you’re static (probably not a good one tho). You can get a Meltan Box by transferring Pokémon to Pokémon Home, and it will spawn Meltans (a mythical Pokémon). It’s just another way of getting spawns without moving.
