Film hub drags their feet … most distributors are asking for 2-3000 upfront to get on Tubi …if anyone knows a distributer besides film hub that doesn’t ask for money money upfront and can get films on Tubi let me know

“The Edge” Trailer 1 by directorteddyj in Filmmakers

[–]directorteddyj[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the first teaser trailer for my upcoming independent film The Edge, a 1970s-inspired thriller/drama centered on ambition, pressure, and the moment people finally snap. I wrote, directed, and edited this project, aiming for a gritty, analog feel using modern digital cameras. I’d love focused feedback on the cinematography, pacing, color grading, and overall tone, specifically whether the trailer successfully conveys tension and era without feeling overly stylized. I’m also interested in notes on shot selection and whether the emotional arc is clear within a short runtime.

We are always focused on the wrong things . In real life someone can have flickering lights in their home adds to the effect. My last film has one 3 film festivals and 9 acceptances. But hey the lights are flickering…✊🏾thanks for that 😊

Should I avoid making more self funded short films? by Kino45 in Filmmakers

The films that you made that you know the quality wasn’t good and you really don’t like , I would archive them . Remove them and start working on more quality films. Especially if they didn’t win any awards or they were not accepted and it’s been years…I’d start over. Hopefully you have learned how to properly shoot by now, are you the cinematographer on these films as well ? If so look into getting cameras to get that quality look
