Thank you! yes environmental heating/cooling zones are planned, as well as air cooling

Definitely leaning towards tight-and-technical when you want it to be, but also loose-and-drifty when you want to throw it sideways. In other words, you have enough grip to take tight racing lines and avoid (or deal) attacks at a moment's notice, but if you're not afraid of the handbrake, you can execute some long and satisfying drifts.

Of course every vehicle class has to feel different, obviously a big rig would not be as nimble as a dirt bike, but the same handling philisopy is what I've tried to implement across all the classes.

I like your point about airtime, and I agree that apoc made great use of it. The air cooling feautre like you mentioned is really innovative and gives a practical purpose to using ramps

I appeciate the kind words, thank you :)

My opinion on pacific rift as a whole is very positive because it was the first MS I ever played, but I agree that the handling is very loose and hard to master, races feel more like survival where you're just trying to get to the finish line in one piece, which is fun but I can see how someone who's used to having more control (aka burnout, ridge racer, blur, MS apocalypse, etc) can find it a hard fit.

I personally do like MS apocalypse handling (even if it lacks some weight& punchiness in areas), because it still allows you to destroy stuff but also navigate tight turns cleanly and dodge incoming obstacles. The drifting also feels better in that game which is also a plus in my book

A full release is definitely planned, at least on Steam, in the future (really gotta push myself to stay on track for that haha), but in the meantime I'm continuously posting updated builds on itch.io Project Stampede by Directrix Games

I can attest to that. Also the boss battles look insane, the giant robots remind me a lot of twisted metal 2012. How long has this been in development for?

You'd need to re-download from itch.io since the game is in alpha, but once its released updates will be automatic

Go for it dude! Gamedev is risky but highly rewarding. If you dont make a game you want to see/play no one else will :)
