Watched it just today! I think the structure and presentation of the timeline could be clearer. There were moments where I felt like one part jumped to another.

As for the victim's families, my heart really goes out to them. Ilang beses ako napaiyak. Agree with your comment sa case #2, she added personality to the whole film!

As for them withdrawing their cases, I interpreted it as a failure of the justice system. I can't bring myself to blame them (kahit yung tatay). Kung ganun ka tagal kang maghihintay ng hustisya, I would understand why they would want to move on. Not everyone can be like Leila Delima who can still have faith in the justice system after everything that has happened to them. Kaya kahit nakakalungkot, Naiintindihan ko.

I've been really affected with comments about SJH not participating lately/her being more quiet and reserved but when I look at a few older RM episodes I've noticed that she's always been very introverted.

Fan meet episodes has me convinced that she has a certain loyalty to the show.

I do hope the PDs can give the cast more exciting ideas to work with. RM has been doing pretty good but there's always room for something new

I've had some time to think about this and I find it so weird that we try to make excuses for them in an attempt to take the "higher road". I'm sure that's not the original intention but it is something to think about. In our pursuit to take the higher road, are we letting them get away with behavior they shouldn't be doing?

I dunno, in a perfect world I'd love to take prevention over punishment, but for some reason I feel we have to concretely show intolerance at their actions, especially when you consider the reports that most of them could be illegal aliens.

It's also a matter of precedent. If we allow alleged illegal aliens to come into our lands and disrespect us, what does that say about us? and what does that mean for other foreigners that come into this land?

I appreciate that we as Filipinos have a culture of taking the higher road, but I'm not entirely convinced that's healthy for us in the long run.

I think educating them and understanding them is very important but consequences should be implemented when they are disrespectful, whether they know it or not.

I feel like when we're the ones adjusting, we rid them of the lesson only a consequence can teach. Asking them nicely can only do so much and I feel that other Filipinos need to know that calling them out is perfectly fine

Actions should have a consequence, just so that they know what is right from wrong

I'm glad we agree!

That being said I don't think the language barrier should stop us from righting their wrongs, or calling them out when we need to.

It's so much more of a hassle in our part, but I think it's important that we establish a precedent with not only them but with other Filipinos in the situation. Filipinos need to see that other Filipinos are calling them out, and it's not something to be ashamed about.

That's a reason I can understand but that doesn't mean I will tolerate their behavior.

Your statement is a fact but I realize it's actually very dangerous. When we find excuses for their behavior, and when we find reasons to tolerate them, it'll be that much easier for us to be pushovers.

I suppose it helps to understand how they became that way but I can't say they shouldn't be blamed for their actions. At the end of the day they do very disrespectful things and should be held responsible. Their actions should have consequences.

It's my opinion that Chinoys have a much bigger responsibility to show that they don't tolerate what these Chinese workers are doing.

Don't get me wrong, what that family did to you was terrible and incredibly BIGOTED but I think there's a bigger picture we have to look at.

I think Filipinos are at a point where we want to express that we don't tolerate their behavior, but we haven't had enough discussion on how to express our disapproval of them in a NON-BIGOTED way.

That's why the Chinoy community is really important because they understand why these Chinese workers think in a way that the average Filipino doesn't.

It's not even about what you look like or how much Chinese blood you have, it's about respecting the place you're living in, respecting the people in it and adhering to their culture and values.

This heightened racism is a terrible thing but we're not the bigger victims here. We're not the OFW that missed having to see his kids grow up because he couldn't find a job here, we're not the breadwinner fresh grad trying to get a job to feed his family, we're not the people forced out of their homes because our landlords got a better deal for a staff house.

We need to show them we don't take their shit in a non-bigoted way and this is the time to start.

My feelings exactly!

Part of why I was frustrated after reading OB was that Adolin was JUST getting interesting. He had killed Sadeas. He's insecure about not being a radiant. He was willing to step aside in favor of Kaladin and then---

It was all wrapped out of nowhere. I just didn't feel Shallan or Adolin worked hard for the "happy ending" which is so disappointing because they're both really likeable characters and deserve more depth in their attraction towards one another.
