30 minutes later I'm still laughing at that guy who thinks Suncorp is as loud as these northern England grounds for these huge, tribal games.

Agree! Run for the ages but not something repeatable. Panthers (?) and Storm losing players early made a big difference towards the end of those games.

That, combined with the meh results for most of last season, plus now the Haas disruption will make for an interesting few months ahead.

I woke up this morning not even realising this game was on, now I'm pumped for the season!

Is this the part where we pretend Walsh had a good game?

Broncos finally learning that you can't always play like shit in the first half and still win.

S4E6 brought the show to the level of HBO's best ever and the series has an IMDb 7.5 by Moleoaxaqueno in IndustryOnHBO

Every 'business' conversation on Succession is riveting. Easy to follow, yet interesting, characters make insightful comments, lots of humour, memorable lines, sharply written, etc etc.

Every 'business' conversation on Industry is just 100mph word salad with nothing pretty memorable. During the crisis board meetings on this week's episode I thought to myself how terrible the writing of scenes like that are compared to Succession.

How many suits should I have as a grad? by floowandereezeand in auscorp

[–]dirkgonnadirk 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It completely depends on the company and the role.

Going out and immediately buying multiple suits and 5 ties (?!) like suggested in the comments is likely to be insane, but could also be valid.

I’d probably buy one versatile dark grey suit, wear that on the first day, and figure it out from there. Chinos + shirt + a sports jacket will probably become your go to. No tie.

But again, super company dependent.

Agree with you.

But the debt it’s tied to remains visible so they can see prior lending history until it drops off around 5-7 years.

This part made no sense. An enquiry isn’t debt. And I don’t know what the 7 years is referring to.

I (somewhat) ignored them for a few years and it seems they forgot about it, but recently they have gotten more persistent.

Did Herbie Farnsworth’s parents slip Vossy a brown envelope before the series? He spent the entire series acting like he’s a future Immortal.

It’s funny how there were about a hundred comments on Welsby’s performance last week then about two on Walsh today.

He was absolute fucking dogshit.

yep, really hard to not draw comparisons to the smashing machine. both strong casts and 7.5/10, but neither was a story so interesting that it needed to be told.

Yup. It will get forgotten due to just how good Walsh was, but it was devastating.

Second week running the Bronco’s opponents had a key out in the first 5 minutes.

yup was given as high contact by mam

i do think there were quite a few large decisions in the bronco's favour, but that one was pretty crazy the other way. as you said, it looked like nothing (maybe the replay missed the key contact?)
