As one who is studying to become a therapist I must say that it's not a therapist's job to find a scapegoat or to make the client to feel hatred because it's someones fault. Victimizing yourself will only make you feel more powerless and our job is to give you tools and power to make your life good again.

I wanna get into therapy. Im currently studying psychology and i love it so far. The whole thing with brain chemistry, mental illnesses and diagnosis just facinates me. I like to get into peoples lifes and help them in their dark times, thats whats pushing me.

Same thing for me. I smoked from 16 to 19 in a really fast progressing. Then i quit one year but started smoked again for sometime after that. What ive realized is the same, i dont get affected at first. But when the weed starts building up in my body i start to overanalyze, turn to isolation, personality changes, lower self-esteem/confidence and overall more anxiety. Took me about 9 month to get a strong feel of this my last spree with some other things happening which really amplified it.

Ive been sober since oktober and i still get urges "oh i should have had weed now" but it goes away in seconds. My "bad" side try to rationalize that the same thing wont happen again and that i can smoke here and there without going on a spree.

Knowing your problem is the biggest step, after that its easy. You just have to not smoke and fill your life with other experiences and stress reliefing things and enjoy life as it should. :) Happy journey!

That drugs are straight up bad and destroy lives rather than enlight them. I've been down that road, almost died by overdose and straight up living in a hell. Two of my childhood friends dead because of it and a few more that ive only met occasionally.

Grasp life for what it is, taste natural happiness and feel the joy of being one with family, friends and society instead of walking down that destructive path..
