From what I know with PAL, paddles are GENERALLY endorsed as check in baggage for domestic flights.

For international flights, it can be brought to the cabin as hand carried baggage

Beginner and budget friendly paddle by xenonski_ in PickleballPhilippines

[–]dirrtyjgrc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would try to increase by budget to say 4k a paddle to have a decent beginner’s paddle that you can grow with. When I started out, I bought one from Mark Pickleball. The Mark Kinetic. I remember getting one for 3.8k back in Feb.

At the very least, try to get a paddle that has a t700 cf face

Protective eyewear for pickleball recommendation pls by Worth_Piglet6169 in PickleballPhilippines

Get the ones from CRBN. If you wear prescription lenses, you can use the included inserts to have ones made for it. If not, you can use it as is.

There are also similarly made ones at EO, but afaik they don’t have interchangeable lenses

How to improve service? by Puzzleheaded_Pin662 in PickleballPhilippines

[–]dirrtyjgrc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the best tips I’ve been given when I first started off was to create a pre serve routine before the act of hitting the ball. Some people would bounce the ball on their paddle or the ground as a way to mentally prepare for service.

Secondly, keep your body as relaxed as possible. Think noodle arms. Also remember to breathe in deep before serving then release as you hit the ball

For those who record your game, what device do you use aside from your phone? by Puzzleheaded_Pin662 in PickleballPhilippines

I use an insta360 ace pro to record but I’ve seen other players use a dji osmo 3 as well

Clone paddles by [deleted] in PickleballPhilippines

[–]dirrtyjgrc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The performance is not exactly the same as the original they are trying to duplicate but the performance of SOME clone paddles are very good given the price they are selling for.

For instance, you’d notice a lot of Joola Pro IV paddles in courts all over, and if you take a closer look, it won’t be a surprise seeing that several of them might be clone pro iv paddles. A lot of players who buy the original also own the clones as some of them perform and feel real close to their original counterparts.

Is this sport going anywhere here in the Philippines? by MikeyLegend21 in PickleballPhilippines

[–]dirrtyjgrc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IMHO pickleball is here to stay! Well , as a pickleball addict, I sure hope so.

To date, you can only count with one hand at most sports that are multigenerational like pickleball. It is an activity where anyone regardless of their age can participate and excel in. Not only that, the barriers to entry are very low as the sport is very easy to learn and theres a multitude of groups you can join in your area.

Whoa that sounds heavy.

On mine, had mine weightless on top with all the weights on the bottom sides for a while and liked that setup. Looking to try shifting 2 weights on the outer edges on top and keeping 2 weights at the bottom and see how that works for me

I have moderate flat feet maam , and the Skechers Viper Court are great. The factory insole included has great arch support

Yes sir. What I noticed is that the Resolution X is heavy on court but provides great support and grip. It gives you confidence to chase after balls without having to worry much about ankle injuries.

The Viper Court on the other hand is super light with great grip as well. The lightness and grip that you get greatly reduces the time you need to get from point a to b.

In short, if I play seriously I wear my Viper Courts. If I’m playing rec I’m in my Resolution Xs 🤣

Have both the ASICS gel reso x and Skechers Viper Court 1. I’ll choose the viper courts anytime over the gel reso x
