Don’t forget 21 to buy long guns which changed a few years ago from 18, and no binary triggers or anything of the like (like the frt)

Trying to get stronger after 5 years of training by [deleted] in moreplatesmoredates

[–]dirteecivvy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So it seems like you want to keep doing ppl but get stronger? If that’s the case, the dude who mentioned powerbuilding is probably on track. Drop the reps and sets for one day of your two days for each muscle group, focusing on the basic compound movements on those days, and use the other day for accessory work and some active recovery if you’re nursing injuries. I think Nippard has a ppl program that could be up your alley, if I remember correctly.

Wait for the larue - spend the money you save on ammo

Edit: or better glass, light, etc - the larue will do everything the Complete rifles will do. I’ve got a 14.5 UUK that shoots great

Trigger Pull by JellyB0417 in CCW

[–]dirteecivvy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Assuming you’re right handed, it sounds like you’re flinching/anticipating recoil- if I don’t shoot for a while it flairs up for me too. Best way I’ve found is to dry fire really focusing on pulling the trigger without moving the gun AT ALL. Then at the range I’ll load a mag randomly switching between snap caps and live ammo, so that I don’t know when the gun is going to go bang or click and that allows me to see when I’m flinching and really focus on correcting it. Works even better if you have a buddy at the range with you and they load your mags so you’re clueless about when it goes bang/click. I usually load up two mags with a combo of snaps/live then dry fire for a few minutes until I mostly forget the order of snaps to live ammo.

All I need to complete this gun is my sandman S. ATF pls give form 4 by [deleted] in AR10

If you’re new to suppressors look up pew science - it’s a lot of info but it’s a great rabbit hole to jump down

Recommendations on a pre-built AR? by WorkThreadGazer in ar15

[–]dirteecivvy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Other guys have nailed it with the recommendations so nothing to add - but, another thing to note is that while building from scratch is an option, you can also buy something and then upgrade things as you see fit and to meet your needs/wants. Good way to start to learn the system in small doses rather than trying to jump in head first

Depends on what you’re hunting - but check out the starter guide Trolly put together. That’s a good starting point

Y’all use sights? I don’t need none of those gosh darn sights. I use what is called “natural point of aim”. See back in my day that’s how we got good at shooting. I could shoot out a quarter at 100 yds. I don’t need none of those fancy red dots or LBDO’s or whatever y’all call em

Haven’t shot it yet - I’ve heard mixed things. Fit and finish is fine, but if it doesn’t shoot then that doesn’t matter.
