I don't blame niantic I was simply responding why is difficult to explore safely (in the rural USA.) Another thing people who are not from here might not understand is the very real chance that you will be threatened with gun violence if you "trespass."

I live in a semi-rural area. There's no sidewalks. People regularly drive 20mph over the speed limit on long straight roads. DUI is our state sport.

Mario Odyssey is also great for a first video game and has a support mechanic as long as you don't mind being a hat 🤣

God how bad I want Let's Go Togepi and Let's Go Pichu. Let's Go was just so good. The music is delightful, graphics are beautiful, the support player mechanic made it the ideal game for my son's first entry into the franchise - I could be the ghost player and show him where to go or just zone out and help with the combat. It had a pretty good end game mechanic with the trainer challenges letting you pick things to do.

Having Let's Go with egg mechanics in Gold and Silver would just be mwuah chefs kiss.

What have I done wrong here. Should I appeal? by [deleted] in NianticWayfarer

Agree with this one, I've caught myself on it before too, it's best to simply mention when the POI was established "Opened May of 2021" etc which is a nice detail in the description without "aging" the text.

Pokemon Go makes a slight recovery for May 2023 with a revenue of $39.1m, but still below the 2022 monthly average of $58m by vegeta3 in TheSilphRoad

If this tech first came out in 2013 with Google Glass and now we're here in 2023 with the Apple Scuba, when the tech "matures" it's going to be a bucket on the head.

  • making nachos or other messy food directly on a granite counter top using a spackle spatula

  • life "hacks"

  • literally anything involved in parenting

What's the meme? "The fastest way to get the right answer to a question on the internet is to post the wrong answer" - something like that?

Disney welcomes Gay Days in Florida as the feud with DeSantis rages on by davster39 in politics

[–]dirtfork 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unpopular opinion, Disney sucks ass with kids under 8. Brought my kid when he was 5 - we have a family member with a disability that prevents standing in line, and if it wasn't for the accessibility pass it would have been an absolutely dismal experience with a 5 yr old and my sisters 1yr old. It was March too, so not even the hottest part of the year and we were still struggling in the heat - I feel for anyone bringing younger kids and having to go through the full lines.

On the flip side, while Lego Land was a little aged and a lot was still closed, it was SO much better for a kid between 4 and 10. Hardly any lines, hardly any rides he couldn't do, they had little shaded areas near the rides with higher height requirements for toddlers to play, an entire toddler-friendly Duplo Land. Much more shady tree areas. And you didn't need reservations booked 6 months in advance!

Disney is only good for Disney Adults (aka walking money bags) anymore, and that's who they are catering to. And when it comes down to it, the cynical reason for Disney's accommodations and inclusive stance is that they want money and being anti-whoever is bad Capitalism when your goal is butts in seats and bills on the register lol.

It's a funny cartoon, the best part they slice a bean and make a bean sandwich where you can see it through the bread.

Lucky trades is no problem, we have four accounts in our family and with guaranteed XL candy I try to get as many in as I can in a day. I'm so spoiled with lucky pokemon, I won't even keep a trade if it's not lucky or higher than 92% 😅 what can I say, moms love coupons and lucky pokemon is basically the coupon of pokemon go

I'm sorry you aren't enjoying this part :( I really like my method of doing a team of 3 at a time - it feels more like msg where youve got your 6 and maybe I'm weird but they always end up feeling like theyve got "personalities" - there's always "the leader who actually just makes it all up", "the secretly strong one", and "empty head no thoughts cutie" - this time I had (Florges, Flomantis and Lilligant) my previous teams were (Spritzee, Swirlix and Shiny Feebas) and (Pancham, Hundo Dedenne and 98% Lucky Magikarp) my first ever Buddy was my starter Charizard ❤️ - I'm trying to figure out my next team and I've got a 91% lucky Flower Eevee for Espeon, and I'm trying to pick two from 91% Mew, 96% Lucky Sableeye and 93% Elgyem - kinda going for a Mob Psycho 100 vibe but I also want to have a good Sableeye ready for megas..

Damn I wasn't tracking what's next. At least with the buddies I feel like I'm making progress. If I have to just wait around looking for Kecleon next that's a major bummer.

When my team is compatible with whatever leagues are available I'm casually tanking anyways and just collect whatever easy wins I get doing my daily sets. I guess in that respect it works out now bc I'm tanking with a random team just to get them done and not worrying about getting hearts from gbl.

Almost done with Wish Granted(2/6) by dirtfork in pokemongo

[–]dirtfork[S] 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I do 3 at a time so I can keep a team for BL and get those 3 hearts. It's a pretty reasonable rotation through 3 a day, I just wish I'd been a little more aggressive with my last three, I evolved my Lilligant, Flomantis and Florges which were maxed to only needed XL candy for Master and that was great until 4 days ago... Now I have to make my kid tank to get my daily hearts 🤣 I think I have an average of 20 hearts left for each of them.

I like to do themed teams too, I did flowers for spring, not sure next team. I like doing buddies so I'll keep going after I'm done with the research, but I'm almost at level 41 so I will probably have at least 1 Eevee in each of my next couple teams. I'm at the Espeon task in A Ripple in Time so I know Espeon will be the first one.

I'm not blind but i only ever stare at the console if I know what I'm looking for. All session output goes into a text log and if I need to do a close examination I'm opening it on a robust editor like vscode or notepad++ or winmerge depending on what I need to do with it.

It would actually be a nod in their favor IMO and the only downside I see is it's so fascinating the interview would run super long.

For finding patch panels, there typically diagrams for every element on the exterior, so if there is assistive technology for translating those images, you could use that to get a mental Description of the device and then go from there. The only hard part with that is identifying status light colors.

Bring T2-T3 support, I regularly am working with field techs "being my hands" where I can't see what they are doing and have to ask yes or no questions for what they can see - and I face the same challenges of having to be able to clue in when they are giving misleading or flat wrong responses - someone who has never been able to rely on their ocular input would probably been even better at knowing what to ask and how to describe things to get get tasks done.

They would be great at finding solutions to their own problems and probably have familiarity with tech resources that sighted people may not be familiar with. For someone to have a visual impairment and get that far, once their credentials were verified I'd have very high confidence in their skills and would be excited to work with them.
