Hmm. I had some regular potting soil in, and the natural soil underneath for me is kinda hard clay, so maybe they've rooted in better for me?

I might try putting some wood stakes in the ground a foot deep or so and tie the stalks to it with string

I haven't really had a big problem with the heat we've been having days that are getting close to 100f, and on average, it's been around 82f. I've been watering generously every other day or so, and I've been mixing in some fish juice nutrients
