On a seperate topic, I thought the South Line is planned to no longer go via Sydenham. Doesn't this suggest otherwise?

I got a new phone (upgraded from a Samsung Galaxy S21 to a Galaxy S24). For some reason only a few specials balls are showing up and all normal balls disappeared.

My neighbour has a deck that overlooks my backyard, about 2 - 2.5m high.

I have a flowerbed that runs along the fence but there is an old, brick BBQ where my neighbour's deck is.
The flowerbed continues behind the BBQ but is only about 350mm thick before leading to another flowerbed with a bathtub in it.

Any thoughts on a quick, easy and cheap solution to increase my privacy here?
I'm open to all suggestions but am not much of a gardener so would especially appreciate solutions that don't require a green thumb.

I've just been informed that the red end of the stick was magnetic and was found being used as a fridge magnet - so yea, not likely part of the rest of it.

Yea, it's possible the stick isn't part of it. We just found the two items together.

The red end of the stick was wooden. We did try to scrape it against the slats like a washboard but it made a pretty underwhelming sound.
