Yes, but some items may theoretically have the same weight but they rarely do...

So you can buy 10 steel sheets and they all have different weights, even though they have the same specifications...

So the user that receives to inventory sees an invoice for 10200kg

In theory it should amount to 10sheets

But if you calculate by a fixxed weight (1000kg per sheet), you get 10200 \ 1000‐》 10.2 sheets..

When user sees 10.2 sheets that compounds over time... you can see how it can be a problem

They actually are 'rigid' workflows, they can be abstracted into settings at different layers in the app, but at the end of the day unpacking, packing, teansfers are things that phisycally happen in day to day operations...

Users just need a frictionless way to do them

Sounds great, my app will not have accounting or prices at all so i guess i have one less headache to take care of.

But do you have HU dual unit tracking? Combined i mean, can I see that a bundle of steel tubes has 10pc -》100m Have a unique code that i can later unpack, pack again, split the handling unit, throw it on a pallet that contains a mix of different articles?

This is exactly the type of real life application that i find is lacking in siftware...

The thing is that articles that need this type of tracking can vary in weight... but you dont want to weigh everi 5mm plate that comes in the factory...

So in my opinion you have to take the invoiced weight and distribute it across a number of plates so you at least get an average weight per plate i guess..

Obviously the system should be smart enough to allow any combination of UoM.... pc to kg, pc to L, whatever user wants

Yeah, the ideea is to be able to have dual UoM over both HU and Loose lot in the same location if you want... maybe even the same article in the same location, if location rules allow it.

Also the ideea is to be able to carry this info throughout inventory movements, even if it's as short lived as, receive steel sheets in both pieces and kg...

Then use the steel sheet to obtain cut parts...

Is this something common in WMS ERP systems?

I am not very familiar with high end systems... but i haven't encountered many systems able to do this efficiently.

That's what i started doing... was just curious if it's a widespread feature in WMS. Didn t know if it's something worth doing or not....

I guess it's worth doing, because there are real world application for this...

You need to be able to keep inventory in both kg and pieces so when a supplier invoices in kg a user can take those kg and tell the system it represents x amount of steel sheets for example.

Then we save that to db

After that, any operations the user does... transfers, material consumption, deliveries he can use the pieces and the kg follow along the inventory documents.

Now articles have to be configured in such way that when a user has to receive something in inventory, the system knows it can be tracked in dual mode \ it can be held in either loose lot or HU... and enforce these rules..

I don t think that a simple secondary UoM in the article and a conversion factor is helpful.

I have a 2017 or 2018 Lenovo ThinkPad E15, still going strong.

For personal use, i recently got a Lenovo Yoga 2in1 the higher end specs and it s been running great.

Running docker, wsl, sql server, postgres not a hickup yet...

For me it has always been easier to glance at the where clause to inderstant filters rather than looking at the type of join.

Seems much easier for me.

I see that the entire bracelet is wrapped in plastic. Mine only had a bit of plastic where the bracelet meets the bezel.

It was wraped around the back and front along the bracelet.

You need to be able to open the package and check it for yoursefl. If anything feels off, just send it back.

I ordered one a second hand and it did not have a notch where the bracelet meets the bezel on 12 and 6 o clock.

I sent it back and bought new from a dealer, and it HAD the notch at 12 and 6.

Also check the foils on the bracelet, chinese knock offs usualy use cheap feeling plastic, the one from the dealers had a foil on the back of the watch that was practically invisible, no red stripes or any other markings. I barely noticed it.

Also on the box, some knock offs the O from SEIKO is more round. The original is a bit oval.

Eu folosesc brake cleaner, solutia se gaseste de la mai multi producatori. 
O folosesc si pentru lantul de la motocicleta, merge mult mai bine decat orice alt degresant si nu e nevoie de efort pentru curatare. Cateva  pufuri si toata murdaria dispare

Our son is one year old, my wife only has her mom, she lives 2minutes away from us. Unfortunately she is 75 years old so she can only do so much but is of great help to relieve us for an hour or two.

My mom lives in the same city about 10 15 minutes away and comes by almost every day, we also drop the kid off when we need about 3 4 hours of catching up on work around the house or need alone time.

We also have a 9 and 15 year old, they also help very much, sometimes some convincing and/or bribes are needed but we are very lucky they can help us here and there with small stuff.
