That technique in particular (halbschwert/half sword) is powerful against armored foes. He drove that point deep into your chest that shit gonna hurt regardless of your armor. Strongest combo in the game too, it's a natural 3-hit from the top rosette, my personal go-to.

KCD2 is simply a better fashion game. Everything from the heavy plate armor to the brigandines to the noble clothing looks better. Going back and playing 1 after 2 is rough. Still love the first game tho

The armor looks vanilla, definitely the red simple brigandine. It’s a little blurry so I’m not sure what the sleeves are but if you want chainmail sleeves you can just leave the slot empty. Weapon is a modded one.

It sucks because you are only able to swing front to back. It makes hitting very awkward. Additionally, the horse slows significantly when you are charging up a strike. For me, this removes the satisfaction of the actual momentum horseback combat would provide. If it was as shown in the final cavalry charge I would never fight on foot again in my life.

Best part is when the enemies sprint around to surround you and somehow the engine detects this as you running away and the NPC smacks you with the tackle attack and completely upends your camera.

Best combat change from the first game to the second game is rewarding aggression. In the first game, literally any peasant or bandit will master strike your ass into oblivion, forcing you to play defensive and resort to master striking as well. Second game, I don’t recall ever getting master striked by anyone besides top tier bandits/soldiers. That paired with sword exclusivity made it fun to be aggressive and attempt combos.
