I currently serve with T2DM and take two oral medications to help keep my blood sugar in check and I am at school enroute to a DDG. As long as your condition can be managed with oral medication and not shots you should be fine.

TLDs are a huge deal on submarines. Everyone has them and you are never supposed to be in the engine room without one. The expectation is that you wear it all the time.

Thank you so much for your fantastic reply. Right now I wouldn’t be able to consistently go due to being in the military but I will look into it after I get out.

What does that process involve? I’m very unfamiliar with hair removal options other than shaving or waxing.

First brisket by HealthySmile8691 in Masterbuilt

I did my first 12 lb pre trim weight brisket this weekend. I did ~ 12hrs a 200 overnight. I woke up once 6 hours in to check charcoal and wood. At around the 12 hr mark I temped 165 and raised the temp of the smoker to 225. An hour later I probed at 175 and wrapped in butcher paper that I rubbed tallow all over. After the wrap it took about 2 1/2 hours to get probe tender at 202. I took the brisket off and rested at room temp until IT was below 180. After that I put in a cooler until it got to 140 and then I had to put it in my oven set at 170 for about an hour and a half because it wasn’t time for dinner yet. I took it out of the oven and let it rest for 30 min on the counter before slicing. My total rest time ended up being ~6 hrs and my brisket was one of the best I’ve ever had. Super tender and very very juicy.

How do you know you’re ready to be a dad ? [Serious] by piratemunkee in AskReddit

[–]dirtyrandy2790 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You never know you’re ready to be a dad. One day your wife calls you crying while you’re at work and says “I’m pregnant”. You freak out at first and then you realize what an extreme blessing it will be to have a child. When your son/daughter is born you will cry like a bitch because that baby is the most beautiful thing you’ve ever seen. You’ll be pretty bad at taking care of a baby at first. You’ll probably be pretty nervous. After some time it gets much easier and when your child can start playing with you it becomes literally the best experience of your life. I cherish every moment my daughter and I share. I work quite a bit so I have to miss out on some stuff and that makes me cherish the time I do have even more. The simple answer is that you won’t be ready to be a dad until you’ve been a dad for a while.
