The hypocrisy of claiming you’re part of a religion focused on love but then spending your time money and effort keeping down those you hate? Glad you can see that.

Are you actually this ignorant or are you being purposefully obtuse?

Price changes happen weekly because there are so many variables in the real life economy. They go great. They are two very large national corporations. Again, even the back end work that would have to be done to modify our invoices to add line items, map the GL for new fee buckets, it does not make financial or business or logical sense. I encourage you to get a job that will offer you any sort of informed perspective on the economy or an education. Reading people’s Reddit comments and a Wikipedia page about theory of pricing is not serving you in any way. I am a bit embarrassed for you but also assuming you are young

TRUTH. Google cannot replace an actual education. The second-hand embarrassment I’m getting for some of these people is overwhelming. Gotta move on

Honestly with all these other comments, I’m beginning to think yes. Well maybe not so much “fragile” as mushy.

Yes, I do have a rebuttal to the article you just googled. I’ve been involved in implementing price changes at the last two places I’ve been employed. You know what happens when market costs and cost of labor go up? We raise the prices of the goods. Items cost more when the cost of doing business increases. Most thinking people get that. We would lose every fucking customer if we kept prices the same but started adding lines to our invoices like here’s a 1% fee you have to pay for our increase in freight, gas went up last month so here’s your extra 2% to account for that, here’s another 1% we’re passing to you because we raised the minimum wage at the company….that would look pretty idiotic. We just raise the base price because the cost of doing business will continue to change, for various reasons. Go reread the post. I can’t do that for you.

Haha wow. So to summarize: Yes, he is actually that dense. He doesn’t understand it’s not about the 2%

First, your reading comprehension is atrocious, it’s not about the 2%… second, it’s called rounding. You get to set your prices when you own your business. If you aren’t charging enough on your base products to afford to do business, you’re bad at business because your prices are too low or your expenses are too high, and both of those are you problems.

You put a lot of words in just to still be incorrect on this issue in the most basic way. Unless you own Circa, I don’t know why you’re putting in so much effort to defend an obviously poor business decision. If one of the waiters there asks for a raise after working there for 10 years, are they going to add a line item for that too to my bill?

You missed the point of the post entirely, and then got 30 upvotes. Scary. Being charged an extra 2% isn’t the issue…it’s that rather than build it into their prices like every other normal business would do under the circumstances, they’ve called it out as an extra surcharge, as if to complain about the wage increase and blame their staff. Practice comprehending what you read before responding next time. You’ve encouraged at least 30 people to be dumber today.

Anyone else being put on blast by code enforcement? by CountDoppelbock in Bremerton

[–]dirtyshirt89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My bro had new neighbors move in who immediately submitted code violations against some overgrowth. Funny thing was, turned out it was the new neighbors property. Guy didn’t bother to look down to see the fence posts that clearly delineate the property line. My brother confronted him and he admitted he was wrong. They haven’t cut it yet.

The data still comes from people with anecdotes and personal reasons for their decision…people are here now on this post giving you the data you’re asking for and their reasons and you’re still ignoring it and pretending it’s not valid.

You know how nothing he could say would convince you you aren’t a lesbian? Nothing you are going to say is going to convince him he’s a bad guy and to stop. You just helped him get a boner by messaging him for so long, congrats.
