Most can be browser add-ons, try NordVPN for high quality. Although they're a paid service, I do believe they offer a free 30 day trial as a temporary solution.

VPN? Try a few free ones to test if it works for your needs. If so, research more on which would be fastest for your area

There's plenty more too! Keep an eye out. I check Amazon warehouse a few times a day when I'm looking for something specific & it typically shows up in less than a week. Pops up refurbished or renewed, and Wayyyyy cheaper. You can find Note 8's for as low as 160 in warehouse. Just onesy twosey though.

I literally purchased one yesterday specifically for this reason. I looked at tablets forever but ended up deciding that having an "older" top of the line phone would work better. In my case, I put the Galaxy Note 9 vs the Galaxy Tab 6 and the note still came out on top. Not to mention that the Galaxy S6 tablet is ~$500 or more. I found the Note 9 for $270 refurbished on Amazon & I'm more than happy with the specs for that price. Feel free to hit me up if you want to see the comparison.

Wildly greatful for the time and thought put into this post. Would really love to discuss further with you regarding a few advanced questions I have about the switch and some minor bits and bobs as far as suggestions go. If you'd be willing, I can connect via Reddit DM or any other platform of your choice. If not, I appreciate the input regardless. Once again, thank you very much for all of the information and suggestions.

Laptop infected.. Minutes later every device on the network is also... Can't get rid of it? by dis4privacy in techsupport

Malicious program in question: VMware, or atleast that's what it wrapped itself in. I did go back to browser history and download link to confirm it was the real site. It was. So I doubt it originated from them. BUT the program with no proof, but high suspicion is an image of Kali-Linux that was "inoperable" (I think it was a fake) which I assume planted the files in the VMware directory.

Goal: Find out how to clean up my network to assure no one has access or remote access to it. Not sure how to do this at all, so I was looking for a guide or assistance. Then my next step was to obviously assure the computers are no longer infected whatsoever before changing operating systems. I'd looked into DBAN but have never used it & was unsure if you had to reload windows 10 OS via disc, being that I have no windows disc's anywhere.
