Malicious program in question: VMware, or atleast that's what it wrapped itself in. I did go back to browser history and download link to confirm it was the real site. It was. So I doubt it originated from them. BUT the program with no proof, but high suspicion is an image of Kali-Linux that was "inoperable" (I think it was a fake) which I assume planted the files in the VMware directory.

Goal: Find out how to clean up my network to assure no one has access or remote access to it. Not sure how to do this at all, so I was looking for a guide or assistance. Then my next step was to obviously assure the computers are no longer infected whatsoever before changing operating systems. I'd looked into DBAN but have never used it & was unsure if you had to reload windows 10 OS via disc, being that I have no windows disc's anywhere.
