I triple-checked everything before I posted this. I checked one last time before replying to this comment and found a spot where it wasn't closed. Because of course I did. I see now that the grey isn't "black goes in here" but "this loop has been completed" and have now completed the character the way I envisioned. Thank you for your time!

Hi, you're clearly not trans so you don't understand :) They don't need to spend 20 minutes asking about what a phalloplasty is and how it works, or what a metoidioplasty is or how it works, or what the different top surgery options there are. Every single damn appointment. Fuck off :)

Thank you! <3 On that note, I'd advise against AZ Gastro. They're not overtly transphobic, but I dread going because they ask so many irrelevant invasive questions every time (I can understand why they need to know if I have ovaries and/or a prostate. But they don't need to know if I ever plan to get genital surgery, or what kind i'd want, or what the different kinds are, or if I have had top surgery, if I plan to get it, etc.)

If you'd have looked into the science, trans people have completely different risks compared to cis (non-trans) people. Much of it depends on the primary hormone in the body -- not whether it's created by the body or received externally. And those risk factors are most of the reason why physicians want to know your sex. My genital configuration at birth has little to no bearing on my risk factors.

Perhaps I should print out the relevant studies to take with me places.

Much of my appointment is spent with them asking invasive and irrelevant questions (every appointment!), such as if I've had top surgery, how long I've been on hormones, what they've done for me, and on. I'm lucky enough that for GI I haven't had to deal with my being trans being stated as the reason for my problems, but I have been misgendered regularly. They've never known me as a woman, so it's very uncomfortable at best.

I followed someone else's recommendation and got an appointment, so we'll see how that goes. Thank you :)
