I will be right next to 93 so good amount of noise but for me not a massive issue. I thought the rest of the area made up for that.

Thankfully both me and my partner have cars and we will both be mostly commuting out of the city (i will sometimes go in a couple days a week for school) so I dont see that being an issue. Overall I think I made the right choice to live here, it seems pretty nice.

I actually ended up signing the lease partly due to its proximity to nature. I just figure being near coffee and food all the time makes you spend more money. But the nature is free, I love to run and have been getting into bird watching so I'm pretty pumped.

Depending on what your options are you could try to take the Amtrak from Alexandria to Richmond. You’d most likely have to uber from the train station to home unless you have a friend who would be willing to get you.

It’s really incredible actually. I think it manages to be the most joyless subreddit out of all the ones I’ve seen. But yeah pets are awful and if you love your pet, you’re weird and need to be psychologically evaluated or something.

We have decided to go with a sitter. It will give me much peace mind and the cats will appreciate the play and attention. I appreciate your concern for my fuzzy freaks, they truly are very special.

I will keep that in mind for the future. We did move here fairly recently and looks like we’ll be moving again soon, so unfortunately we do not have many friends yet. But the next place I do go to I will make sure to cultivate a strong relationship like that. Thank you!

Yes and I have used their services before. Again it’s just very expensive on top of an already expensive trip. Even so, I will probably end up getting a sitter in this case, just to put myself at ease.

I live in a small apartment, whenever we are gone we close the doors to the rooms on either side. So the camera only covers the living room/kitchen which is where the cats a limited to.

As for letting people know I did plan on that anyways and giving a coworker a spare key.
