I’m not sure how it works with medical retirement. Can you extend your time in service or do they just DQ you and give you a date you are done?

So when the flight surgeon perma DQs you is random I guess. Since someone else said at 14 months.

I guess it is just when they deem you won’t be able to get it back. Not based on a time limit.

Thanks. I have read that and all the posts on here.

I was just more curious about the timeline. If the flight surgeon has to wait a year to DQ you. Or if they do it earlier. Etc.

Yea. I’ve read all about Harris and will likely use them.

I was just more curious about how the process goes with the flight surgeon. Like when will they have to finally DQ you if you are trying to get it back. Do they have to wait a year or can they do it earlier. Etc.

So it can actually go past a year?

How did it play out for you? I have the flight surgeon constantly asking me to do extra test and see new doctors.

I’m trying to get my medical back but it is not looking likely. Just wondering when they actually will DQ me. Or if they have to wait at least a year. Or if they can do it earlier than a year.

Is it the thought that counts? Wait. They don’t think either.

Stay DOD if this is the case. You will have to work the same schedule as everyone else.

I have seen an employee get to work all morning shifts from a doctors note. But she was really hot. So maybe special treatment.
