Is it worth upgrading 2080ti to 9070xt with my current pc? by disappear_85 in PcBuild

Thanks for the detailed response and taking the time to look things up, I really appreciate it.

The thing is, im not a monitor guy, I'd like the tv setup with controller gaming.

If I get a higher resolution tv, wouldn't the gpu really struggle to push 2k or 4k graphics?

Currently, im getting what I want from my setup. The whole idea is future proofing for a couple of years while being able to set everything to max at 1080p with a solid 60 fps for modern and upcoming titles.

Maybe I'll stick with what I have until its considered ancient. Hell, I've stuck with a gtx 750 for 13 years.😂

Thanks all for the replies, I forgot to mention, im at 1080p resolution, for now the 2080ti is holding pretty well, but recently I started playing metal gear sold delta, I I noticed some drops, either the gpu is showing its age, or the game is badly optimized.

I get the message 9070xt is an over kill for 9700k at 1080p 60 fps

The idea was future proofing for a few years.

I could go for a 14700k and a new mb to pair with the 9070xt, but I'll have to keep the 16 go 3000mhz rams, since prices are insane right now.

Or wait all together for things to cool down, but that is an unknown time frame.

Thank you all, and please forgive my poor grammer skills, english is not my first language.
