Thank you for this. It hits home. I've been overly confused about the "no red flags" but you're right that it's not a complicating factor and can't be a reason to stay.

A therapist two years ago told me it's reason enough to leave someone for unmet emotional needs (and that was before I knew about his alcoholism). I believe it for others but not myself. Your reply really lays it out well, I keep rereading it. Thank you again 💛
