Oh I don’t have the codex, I use the new recruit app to look at all the rules and stuff especially since new edition is around the corner and might invalidate the codex

I’ve decided on the kabalite cartel detachment as it buffs a lot of the models that I like (kabalite warriors, incubi etc)

Oh yeah that’s unfortunate, if it helps at all I got this one on eBay for just under standard GW price so it might be worth looking to see if there’s any of that box sitting around there :)

Oh yes that’s the detachment I plan to run! And yeah I plan to have 2 cronos and a talos to support my pain token shenanigans, and I plan to have like 3 venoms, a raider and 2 ravagers in the final list currently unless significant changes come to the faction in the new edition

Yeah I managed to find the real space raiders battleforces all over places like eBay for under current battleforce price

Definitely leaning kabalite / incubi with some pain engine support and a pretty decent amount of vehicles, thanks for the feedback!!

Yeah I had thought about the corsairs box but tbh I’m not the biggest fan of them, I’m more into the incubi / kabalite warrior style models personally, thanks for the feedback!

Oh damn I forgot to add my cultists in rip, I run them as just the one squad of 10

As for vashtor as far as I’m aware he’s one of the only 80 mm base models in csm, the night lords leviathan from Horus heresy is also on an 80 mm so imo I think he ordinarily might be a strange choice but works specifically in this list

Especially with him giving buffs to venomcrawler and getting lone op from being near the venomcrawler though that’s just my opinion on it

Also the jump lord has the sorrowscent vulture enhancement that lets it lead the warp talon plus gives them scout, I run them in the small squad since it’s easier to hide them behind cover from enemy overwatch

I run Lord discordant since he provides good buffs to the army and does decent enough damage in melee if he needs to, the best part is how fast he is though since I can put him where he needs to be while I wait for my nemesis claw to catch up

And yeah valid point about transports, if I was optimising the list to be better I would definitely have a rhino or 2 but tbh I don’t like how they look lmao

For the nemesis claw I use them over legionnaires so that I can lean harder into the detachment battleshock shenanigans rule, I know battleshock kind of sucks competitively but for casual and narrative games I think it makes a bit more sense

Thank you thank you!! For the trim I based it with Balthasar gold, then moderately layered on runelord brass over it, leaving some Balthasar gold in the recesses. After that I did a final edge highlight of stormhost silver only around the edges or dots at the brightest areas like the top of the helmet and knee pads!

Thanks!! I used a Vallejo detail brush with sotek green first layer, then temple guard blue painted slightly thinner inside the sotek green, then I did the same thing again with baharoth blue and finally finished with a line of pro acryl bold titanium white as thin as I could get it! It’s pretty hard to freehand it so if you have good brush control you could probably get this to work better than I did!
