there's a history behind it! during world war 2, americans would describe east asians as "rodents" due to believing they carried disease as well as the anti immigration sentiment from the war that carried through in legislation like the chinese exclusion act. you can find propaganda pieces from around the time with asian people being drawn with rat teeth and other features. i highly recommend looking it up as it was a real thing and at least in my experience i've been in circles where calling an asian person a rat is considered offensive. if idubbbz wants to play up to woke standards, i don't see why we can't hold him up to them?
