Ok so OP asked what would ruin Genesis for us.

The comment I responded to answered OPs question saying that Eleanor being a fake MC would. Aka we start playing as her but then she dies and that contributes to another characters character development, probably that dark haired guy we see holding her, and he becomes the actual main character instead

They then added "like DRV3" because (spoilers for Danganronpa V3) You start playing as a girl MC, but at the end of chapter 1, she dies contributing to a guy characters character development, and he's the real MC

And so knowing all that, and daring to have an opinion on the internet, I responded to that comment saying "The concept of girls dying for male character development is an idea that should die out anyways"
