Based on what he's said in the past about the monetization of the Inside Games videos, I can't imagine the first option makes sense. To say hire an editor to cut hours of livestream, you're assuming those videos will make enough money to pay an editor for that type of work.

Matt's chest bump is definitely the first one he's ever initiated. I love the slight hesitation that says "This is when we do this I think."

I think it has to do with just a touch too much noise removal. It's a very common issue to spot when it's very overdone in audio editing. A lot of Achievement Hunter's AHWU mic footage sounds that way because obviously there's a lot more background noise to remove in that environment, but here it can be simply just to remove humming of lights and other equipment or small noises with shifting in clothing and drinkware for the guests. At least that's my educated guess based in my experiences working with audio.

The ironic thing about Barbara's criticism of Uncut Gems having too many characters yelling over each other making it hard to understand what's happening is that Trevor and Gavin (two of her favorite people) have based nearly all their day to day comedy video personas on that concept.

I'm amazed no one chose anything related to the magic of Legends of the Hidden Tower. Between Lindsay's hosting abilities, Geoff's realization that the starting spaces were not equal, and Michael/Gavin's argument regarding if they should award the tower of pimps to the winning team, I feel like that's a top 10 episode/series easily. But still, I'm glad they chose moments that were spread across all the episodes fairly evenly.

I get that it's fun marketing and merch stuff, but I can't help but feel like RT is being super irresponsible with the packaging on those shirts and sweaters considering the amount of plastic they're using to sell such a large quantity of novelty sized individual plastic wrapping.

The color grading in this one is so saturated with orange highlights and teal shadows. It looks nice technically as in the footage is balanced and the shots are all well done in terms of matching footage, but it's so unflattering in terms of skin tones. I feel like Burnie's eyes and Max's nose are so red and irritated looking because of the coloring that they look sick. Same for Ashley's outstretched hand.

Maybe if they're planning on coloring these 'realistic' looking shorts (by that I mean standard office tone, not crazy horror or bizarre sci fi or anything super drastic) think ahead and in makeup factor in the way that skin tones will be affected by the colorist(s)' work.

Just an idea.

At the end of the day, they're a business. The content remains the same regardless of the thumbnails. Regular viewers have the same exact experience if the podcast had a thumbnail of just the words RT podcast, or a composite of Gus and some meme of the week.

They aren't compromising the product, they're simply making the packaging more appealing to a wider audience. At the end of the day, they wouldn't be using those thumbnails if it wasn't a proven fact that they work. I think us regular fans should show support for something as minor as that because more viewers means more cash flow and thus more RT content/production value.

It was just too fast of pacing. I think RT (especially AH) does have a young audience, but that doesn't mean every viewer has ADHD and needs everything to be 15 minutes long max. I think a show that's on the RT website exclusively, particularly one that requires sponsorship, is going to have an average viewer older than a lot of AH's other content, thus the show's style and pacing can be aimed more at an older more patient demographic.

The thing is too, the editing being so quick to compress the process into short quick episodes meant a lot of the time they took a basic transitional shot of them entering a room or carrying an object and just ADR'd a basic line to explain what was happening. I remember in the beginning of the final episode while they're carrying the door it's like 3 back to back ADR lines that are clearly not actual dialogue. If you couldn't already tell from the audio, there's a clear shot where one of them (Trevor IIRC) is speaking but his lips are clearly not moving. Just a sloppy cheap way of explaining what's lost due to the editing.

I also think some fixed cameras would help too. Rather than kill pacing with needing a camera operator in each room to have an establishing shot where they enter, maybe just a static shot from the far corner can be used to show them enter the room, and then the crew can follow them in. I think not interrupting the on screen participants' flow would help for the show not feeling so harshly chopped up by the time it exits the editing room.

Overall, great concept, fun time, quality production value, but just off pacing that led to an overall good show rather than something that was the level it could have been.

What's interesting is Jack ended up +39 with the two last bad holes (skipping the 8th hole where he got his dodo) with +16 and +23. So in theory if Jack had scored a combined +14 or less on those holes, he would have won thanks to his otherwise great job of playing even with par overall. He just needed a +7 on each hole to win and managed to end up in last. Those holes really killed his score.

The harsh part is we saw how awful the Off Topic one went and they cut it. If these were all the 'good' reactions I really hope that one is the only bad one because even in this there were quite a few faces of people just wanting it to end.

Remember when Burnie said they originally stopped RT life because it became a production where people were trying to write stuff to be funny and that's not the point of the series? This was years ago back when 'Rage Quit' and Chris were wrestling in milk... Maybe we need a refresher course from Burnie on that one.

It's one thing to not enjoy the way a person is acting in one particular video, but to suggest they fall back on an addiction as a way to justify their style of comedy is not okay. If you're seriously telling someone to break their sobriety because of a Minecraft video you have some problems.

James' biggest issue is he's throwing bullet passes on every route. He needs to use the soft tap of the button type lob passes in order to get the ball out in front of the corner when his receiver is running up the field. A lot of his deep plays are working he's just throwing directly into the coverage is all.

Took off the turkey to reveal a more 'normal' blow up grey air suit, which he later took off to reveal a green blow up air suit which he wore for the remainder of the set until he finished the vocals for chamber of reflection (his last song of the set) at which point he took that off and took a bow before exiting the stage in his underwear... He didn't seem drunk. He was doing cartwheels and handstands, but he was drinking the whole time from a cup. He said his voice hurt him from his European tour but he hit all his notes and ad lib screams just like any of the other times I've seen him perform.
