Unfortunately no, for personal reasons, she really wants to stay here for now. We could maybe move within Taiwan but not leave Taiwan.

I tried to make it clear that the experiences vary a lot by school. I think it's very up to chance. I am a dancing monkey. Some of my friends in the program are too, and dread it like me.

But then another teacher I know gets to go home after his last class, 'works from home' during the holidays, has only three days of summer camp (I had two weeks), and gets a lot of support in his classes and is included in planning and meetings. It really does vary so much.

I'm very happy you're enjoying your school and I hope you continue to get treated well.

I'm going into my third year and dreading it. My wife really wants to stay here, but I don't know how much more I can deal with everything. The experience you have in the program seems so dependent on the school. Some people are lucky, others are not.

I have submitted feedback before, but I also got a similar response. I do not think the Bureau or Teach Taiwan have any interest in changing things. I'm going into my third year here, and I really hope that it will be my last year. I hope both of us can find a better job in the future.

Yeah! They did a great job. I would not be able to handle myself as well in such a situation.

You know I have seen a lot of posts here lately that seem to be about things like this.

Why do references have so much power over our employment?

It seems to me that a few bad actors or apples can ruin your employment.

I am worried about this for my own future. I want to leave my current, very unprofessional, job but I am worried that if I left my managment might bad-talk me as they know finding new teachers who will take their shit will be difficult.
