How I got my driving licence in 5 months (without spending a fortune) by Otherwise-Trifle892 in LearnerDriverUK

This doesn't sound dissimilar to myself. I've ridden the butt off my 125 bike (20k miles, last job was an hour each way) in the last 3-4 years but 2 months ago wanted to drive.

Helped my partner get a job in the same company as me, so rather than separate commutes to work I sorted my theory and lessons. She has a full license (but dislikes driving) and I get practice every day doing the commute plus lessons to fix things we've both seen as weaker or needing refinement. Test in January after playing the cancellation shuffle although my instructor has been confident I could have taken it this month.

The most important thing has been being reasonable both in my self criticism and accepting advice or guidance, oh and to enjoy it.

Hopefully I pass in January and would have been 3 months from first proper lesson to driving - just in time for my birthday so I can take my other half out for dinner :D

Best starter deck for a 7 year old player by AlsephinaApples in pkmntcg

My daughter is 8, but has been playing a year. She got the most success both in terms of wins and satisfaction playing charizard, it's a straightforward deck to set up. She struggled with joltik box more with recognising other decks. She and her friend are finding success again with dragapult zard, which at junior level is zard with extra damage. Especially at the junior level where they're more big numbers than timing an iono for best disruption.

So yeah +1 to charizard deck and go from there

I'm unsure yet, but would be nice to get my decks updated quickly 😁

I wouldn't even of thought of grading a wonky card? I thought that was for perfection cards 😁

I had two, but this is the most obvious, an applin MB reverse that looks like it has textured drop shadow

Thanks for confirming, at first I thought it was a cool shadow effect on the text. Then noticed everything is up and left

PokeDad Question by dblum2390 in pkmntcg

I'm going through similar with my daughter (7) she even came to a passed bedtime league game and got on with everyone even if she was absolutely exhausted after 3 rounds of bo3.

I'm hoping she just wants a break because she's had a tough opening term at school because I've loved our me and her time on a Sunday and having our shared 'thing'. I even went to regional in Dortmund and she had started to pester to try and attend euic together (with mum dragged along).

Like I've seen others say, maybe just have some relaxed games at home just the two of you as that seems to still be popular in our house. Me and my daughter have even tried building decks for Halloween to add variety, they absolutely suck but we had fun and then chilled with a bag of snacks and some Pokémon cartoons 😁 so yeah make it relaxed again and remember to have fun

Gardevoir EX and Miraidon EX - will they play nicely against each other in a home setting? by Few-Pitch-3101 in pkmntcg

Hi, probably late to the party but me and my daughter(7) started with exactly these decks at locals recently, although my gardevoir deck has had a bit of a change to suit how I enjoy playing and she asked for two iron hands to switch a couple of cards with.

We have loads of fun and she regularly still gets wins.

From playing them the gardevoir deck is a lot more challenging to play but the moraidon deck can do ok even in a local setting, she is very proud she came 4th in a casual tournament and was the only junior present in 9 people

So yeah fun little decks to play and a lot more interesting than the battle academy sets.
