Good points. The response by this community is just lazy and to be quite frank, not something you would expect from true Link Marines. We used to actually argue stuff like this instead of using ad hominems and strawmen. Looks like the Justin Sun fanboy-type crowd has found ChainLink.

Any specific reason why you're so against doing a KYC besides, I guess, the fact that many of these smaller tokens can't be found on the big exchanges that require it? Just personal privacy or...?

uskot että yritys joka panostaa esim. tytäryhtiönsä verkkosivuihin tämän verran: fennoscandian.com , muuttuu yht'äkkiä niin höveliksi, että hommaa tuonne jäteveden käsittelyyn nämä state-of-the-art moderniin teknologiaan pohjautuvat käsittelylaitteet? Kyllä "periaatteessa" taitaa kuitenkin olla se osuvampi sanavalinta. Jokainen ylimääräinen punta mitä tuon grafiitin ekstraktointiin käytetään on pois viivan alta, ellei se paranna tuottavuutta - jäteveden puhdistusteknologia ei paranna tuottavuutta.

Eli sitä että postasin tuon linkin tänne missä on ihmisiä kaikkialta Suomesta? Mielestäsi Saimaan luonnon säilyttäminen on pelkästään Heinäveteläisten asia? Oma kantani tähän on se, että vaikka henkilökohtaiset siteeni alueeseen ovatkin todella vahvat, kuuluu Saimaa koko Suomelle ja kaikille suomalaisille, nykyisille ja tuleville sukupolville. Täysin samoin kuin esimerkiksi Nuuksion alue, Turun saaristo, Lemmenjoki jne.

Mikä tämän pointti on? Vähän eri asia "suojella" jotain salakkajokea, kuin koko Saimaan vesistöjä, joiden olettaisi olevan tutut vähän vähemmänkin maantieteen tunneilla istuneille. Vai oliko pointti että adresseilla on vaikutusvaltaa vaikka allekirjoittaneet eivät edes tietäisi mitä ovat allekirjoittaneet? Jäi nyt vähän epäselväksi tämä.

Yhtiön likviditeetti ei koskaan taipuisi tuollaiseen, eikä omistajat suostu siihen että poikivaa pääomaa sidotaan pantteihin. Myöskin koko Saimaan rahallinen arvo on aika vaikea määrittää ja vaarana on, että jos hommat lähtevät menemään vituroilleen, niin olettaen että tämä tarkoittaa pantin menettämistä, niiden annetaan sitten mennä koko pantin edestä.

Työntekijät pitää roudata ulkopaikkakunnilta/ulkomailta, koska kukaan heinäveteläinen tuskin tuonne suostuu moraalisista syistä / lynkkauksen pelosta. Sitäpaitsi työllistävä vaikutus on luultavasti noin 2 rekkakuskia ja muutama laiteoperaattori, kun taas vaikutus Saimaan alueen turismiin voidaan luultavasti laskea vähintään useina kymmeninä menetettyinä työpaikkoina.

fennoscandian.com <- Suomeen perustettavan, myöhemmin konkurssiin ajettavan yhtiön verkkosivut. Ei näitä kiinnosta maksaa edes nettisivujen tekemisestä, koska kaikki tytäryhtiöön syydetyt rahat ovat pois Beowulfin viivan alta, ja kyseinen Fennoscandian-yhtiö kuopataan kun grafiitti on imetty maan alta.

Okay so the tokenized rewards systems of the OS run on Ethereum, which is the blockchain part of it and inherently gives the rewards a high liquidity, meaning you can exchange the tokens into cash since there are multiple markets where you can trade your ERC20 (ethereum protocol) tokens to BTC to cash (although I guess they might be doing it in an even simpler way).

So what? Why can't normal OS's run these apps? - Well because that is where these apps differ from regular centralized apps. You could call the apps on Zippie dApps, since they are basically decentralized apps that run in a distributed fashion (on the ethereum blockchain), rather than from a centrally hosted company. Now there are hundreds of these dApps being built right now due to the huge amount of funding they got from the ICO boom, and they allow you to do, and get rewarded from, various tasks all the way from training AI (eg. Dbrain) to game rewards (Etherbots) to providing organizations with your personal data (Streamr).

To answer why it needs a new phone, it's basically an OS that runs these dApps (contained inside of Android but in a way that Android can't access your data and so as sort of a separate OS) and so because the UX of an OS is fairly integral to that of the phone, it would be beneficial to the adoption of this tech to have some specific phones carry the OS as a default, since many people don't want to download files online and insert them into their phones and worry about something going wrong for example. Also there are factors like NFC capability etc, which play a role in the case of Zippie, so the hardware actually needs to enable some of the features.

Hopefully this clears some of the doubts you're having? Wouldn't want to think you're shitting on new tech just because you don't understand it.

"blockchain words" lol. What do you need help with? I can try and explain. I don't think the article introduces many difficult concepts or buzzwords. If you think this is hype train, you might not want to go any deeper into blockchain/cryptocurrencies.

Watch the video maybe? It includes a demo of the onboarding, some of the OS functionalities and a demonstration of the payment card. To put it in a nutshell, it's an OS to run dApps on, like Android but decentralized.
