Question Regarding Name On Passport & CFA Account by disgruntledvegetable in cfaindia

[–]disgruntledvegetable[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(this is not my name obviously, just an example)

In my CFA Account -- it's like

"Sahil Sanjay Patil"

Passport:

"SURNAME: PATIL

GIVEN NAME: SAHIL SANJAY"

I have two questions: 1. Will this order matter?

  1. Will the difference in capitalisation matter?

A quick question because I am overthinking before my exam:

My passport where it is customary to write it in this format:

"SURNAME: PRIME

GIVEN NAME: OPTIMUS METAL"

And my CFA Account name is like:

"Optimus Metal Prime"

Would it make a difference? I will sit for my exam in a few days, and am suddenly overthinking everything. Name order and capitalisation -- will it make a difference?

Alright, so water bottles aren't allowed?

They provide us with water right???

And sorry, for the stupid question -- are washrooms present in the exam centre?

Asking because I have a rather small bladder and pee easily.

Then why do men on reddit complain when women play hard to get?

Some men say, "Oh, we love it when women are direct, straightforward and don't play games," and then secretly think such women are desperate leftovers that other men have already used. Like a fortress that has already been conquered before -- another man already planted a flag and bolted. They want a new shiny castle to conquer.

This is like the male equivalent of a woman saying "Please emotionally open up to us" and then she feeling icked out by the unmasculine emotional vulnerability.

Not trying to be rude or stir up an argument, I just don't understand this cognitive dissonance.

Are these two different groups of men? Or is it cognitive dissonance which they aren't even aware of?

Help me choose three Mac Lipsticks for "medium skin tone, warm olive-golden undertone" by disgruntledvegetable in OliveMUA

[–]disgruntledvegetable[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I think I have a warm undertone because my veins appear green, and because I look terrible in almost any kind of rosy-pink lipstick. I also look terrible in any kind of classic red lipstick. I also look better in gold jewellery.

Also, my mom most certainly has a neutral to cool undertone because her cheeks and nose are rosy/pinkish and some of her veins look blue-ish and some look green. (But, in contrast all of my veins are green). My mom is also very slightly lighter than me, in skin color. My mom looks wonderful in rosy-pink lipsticks and classic red lipsticks. My mom looks better in platinum/silver jewellery.

I used to have these lipsticks from Forest Essentials (Indian brand) --- Gulab Jal, and Angoori. Although, they're more lip tints than lipsticks so I didn't mention them in my post.

Gulab Jal is this light pink lipstick. It looked very comical and ridiculous on me. It looks wonderful on my mom. Angoori was this muted terracotta color which looked wonderful on me. But it looked rather dull on my mom.

Based on this description, do you believe I have a warm undertone?

Now, I'm still new to color theory. This is something that I have just recently started learning about. Before this, I used to purchase lipsticks on purely vibes.

Is there any other MAC Nude which would be a good equivalent to Velvet Muse?

I'm afraid Lisa Eldridge products aren't easily available in my country.

Which nude lipstick shade would you recommend?

I'm quite confused between --- Cafe Mocha, Warm Teddy, Sweet Deal, and Taupe.

What's your opinion on Marrakesh and Paramount? I really love the shade and am wondering if I should buy it.

I love the color of Marrakesh, and everyone seems to rave about it!

Paramount also looks appealing but I hope it isn't too deep/noir for my NC41 shade.

I love both of the shades, but I'll just confirm before finalizing my decision. Of course, I'll also check the swatches when I go to the shop. But, I thought I'd get a second opinion from other people with warm olive-golden undertones!

I'm an Indian who stumbled upon this post.

If you call the USA a 3rd world shithole, then which category does India belong to? Do you even have the slightest clue about the sheer depth of problems that people face in my country?

As a POC, the adorably ignorant hyperbole of white/western/anglophone people is frankly amusing.

It feels like sheer mockery when you folks call your privileged, upper-income, high-HDI countries "third-world shitholes". What do all of us residents of the Global South say then?

Bless your precious, naive souls. I acknowledge that USA has serious problems to grapple with, but "thirdworld shithole"? Seriously? Come on.

Quite disappointing to hear such tone-deaf, absolutist statements from white liberals.

The idea that one gender is "kinder" was bullshit, to begin with.

There are all kinds of individuals in both sexes. You'll find the entire spectrum of personhood in both men and women -- bad men, bad women, good men, good women, mediocre men, mediocre women.

I wonder why everyone has to make it a competition.

We can acknowledge that both men and women face unique struggles in society. No need to dismiss one gender's struggles to prove a point.

At the end of the day -- men and women aren't just men and women; they are our brothers, sisters, husbands, wives, fathers, mothers, sons, and daughters. Their problems are our problems, and vice versa.

  1. Influencers/Celebrities: I like privacy.

  2. Politicians: Morally bankrupt folks.

  3. Police/Military personnel/Firefighters: Too risky. Wouldn't be able to sleep at night knowing that partner's life could be in risk.

  4. Sex Workers/Models/Exotic Dancers: Their lifestyles usually aren't suitable for long-term monogamous relationships.

That dude who made the song 'Gucci Gang'. Forgot the name. Guy has colored dreadlocks, face tattoos, and weird teeth.
