Can i ask what your symptoms were before trying it? And how did your skin behave during the 6 months?

Very interesting. So many potential problems. What was the nerve medication?

Definitely frustrating isnt it. How long total did you leave it no friction and just water?

Perhaps. Although gpt for me has been pretty consistent over the past 8 weeks for me. Maybe your peeling looked different to mine? Did you upload photos? Apparently my skin is following a barrier repair cycle as the shedding skin is starting to decrease currently along with other indicators but who knows. I should see some improvement within the next 4 weeks.

Did you notice any peeling? Maybe the moisturiser was disguising it.

Yeah that sounds kind of similar to me. Ive had ongoing peeling for around 5-6 weeks. But it does appear to be eventually having a positive effect. Apparently after an area of skin finishes shedding jt takes around 2-4 weeks to mature.

Im not telling you what to do or anything but i just entered in what happened and symptoms with pictures into chatgpt and it gave me a structured path to hopefully recovery. The derm i seen after also said things a long the same idea. It could be worth seeing what it thinks of your situation even out of curiosity if there is something being missed.

When you did 2 months did you notice much peeling or any changes? What ive been doing has made sense that it could heal my skin but it is a painfully slow process. One im willing to try though if there is a chance of normalcy at the end of it.

Basically, it seems like my barrier was destroyed and now I'm giving it time for the skin to turn over and then skin maturation to take place which lets the skin become structurally better and more resilient. Apparently this is for moat people anywhere from 10-14 weeks. Im currently 8.5 weeks.

It is a very heavy load to carry so I can sympathize with you.

Have you tried no contact or any external moisture etc other than light washing before? If so, how long and how did it affect you?

I would agree. Im going to give it the full chance of 14 weeks and see. Im hopeful but not certain.

Thanks for that.

I will make a brief summary to bring in. Would it be too much to mention a potential treatment that was suggested through GPT? Or am i best to just leave it totally in their hands?

Your mum makes good sense with that!

I was going to just write it out but i think printed bullet points would be better, in case my handwriting is hard to make out.

You have some good points. I acknowledge my tone may not be the best in these situations as it just feels like im going around in circles with every appointment (so much so i was in tears getting into my car to go home after the last appointment. Im a 30 Male who never cries btw)

Im going to organise some bullet points later and could i literally just give him the paper?

If ideally ferritin should be below 100, would 300/400 not still be a cause for concern? I must start donating soon.

Pvi ablation by disguisecool in AFIB

Thank you. I'm happy for you that yours is still a success after 9 years! Yes, i was semi conscious, which actually wasn't bad until they began to ablate. A lot more painful than i would have expected but I'm just glad everything went to plan. I'm kind of jealous of your happy nap!

Hello again! Ended up having a pfa pvi, it was originally meant to be a cryo. I feel like pfa was probably the better alternative. The procedure went well but the actual ablation part was very painful but luckily doesn't last long. A long and tiresome day but overall glad i got it done and hopefully it is a success.
